So Miller would have an interesting case in terms of eligibility. If he doesn’t have to sit, he would be a freshman, correct? Covid year and medical RS? 4 years to play 4. I wouldn’t expect he uses that all up but just a wild eligibility situation.

"A school submits a 4-4 transfer waiver when documented circumstances outside the student athlete’s control necessitate his/her transfer."

This is the wording on transfer waivers if anyone's interested. Obviously don't know the ins and outs of the situation but once again seems like Adam's situation would fit this.

I figure that means if you transfer to Illinois you have to sit a year but if you go to a blue blood, you don't have to.

A poster on the 247 board thinks Miller is going to DePaul. Lol

I hope that's not true. I'd prefer Miznoz not get any good players, though they will with Gates at the helm.
Not me, I want Braggin’ Rights to be electric again. I went for the first time this year, and it was awesome with a 60% full crowd (i.e., like zero Mizzou fans) … I literally cannot imagine how cool it is with a packed house.

With that said, I want Mizzou to be “good” but to NEVER beat us and I DEFINITELY do not want them getting a native Peorian who literally already played here once. Say no, Adam!

Always love your posts and breakdowns of historical Illini facts! Thank you for all of those and keep them coming. Can't believe this was the first Braggin' Rights game you've been to! You are a young one. The 80s games were unbelievable, the comeback the '89 team had to win over an awesome Mizzou team, one of best games I've ever seen. And I don't think I've ever been in a louder arena than when Kiwane Garris taking (and missing) the free throws at the end of the second OT of the 108-107 triple OT loss in 1993. What a heartbreaker because Kiwane played an awesome game (thank goodnesss there wasn't social media hate back then). It really is a very, very special rivalry that should never be relegated to a BTN or SEC network broadcast as it has been recently. Guessing with Dennis Gates coming in that we'll get back to the intense games a lot of us grew up on sooner than later.

I don't think BU likes having 13 guys expecting to play right away. Judging by this board, he can't find enough mintues for 8 guys, let alone 12-13. Every year it seems they have a transfer sitting out or a freshman a long way from playing, etc. Team chemistry already is a challenge and keeping everyone happy. Miller sitting out and getting to 100 percent again and ready for a big year in 2023, great. You still have 11-12 other guys looking to play.

You are right that depth might be a problem but there's a long way to go before we see what next year's roster looks like and how much kids like Epps can play right away, or if they take another older guard.
BU would love 13 guys expecting to play....that's what the BigBoys deal with in most years.

I mean it would also make sense. Not sure why it would be laughed at. He left here because he wanted to be the man which he would be there. Closer to home as well.

Makes more sense than coming back if you look at it without orange glasses tbf
Yeah I guess your right, it kind of does make sense. He would be the PG as well.

DePaul always comes up as a possible transfer target for Chicago kids, but Ace is from Peoria so the bolded part doesn't apply to him.
