Whatever happened to Javon Freeman Liberty as a possibility? Did something with his status change as last I knew he was not going back to Depaul. While Jeremiah Williams would be a good fit imo I believe JFL would even be better although only a one year player.

Not sure if that was ever a real possibility, or just people guessing based on his uncle playing here.

He also is a douche coach on the court too. Ive seen him consistently running up scores and letting dunks by his players at end of every blowout along w other things. He might win but also have a feeling he coukd do something emotionally in some game that is going to get major heat
Like slapping an opposing coach? Oh no, whatever would the NCAA do in that situation?

He is attempting to play professionally now.

If Podz was ready to play BU would have played him. Maybe he relied a bit too much on his super-seniors, but those are guys he has been with for 5+ years. The narrative that not using the bench is a killer is also a falsehood. In fact, according to KenPom, here are the usage rates nationally for the final 4 teams' benches:

Kansas (296)
Duke (314)
Nova (323)
UNC (344)

For reference, Illinois (236) and Rutgers (342). It turns out that in order to win you need a really really good starting lineup. Almost all high-level tournament teams rotations shrink to 7 or 8 by tourney time.

Great info!

Ant Wright was trolling or Clark is bound for Tennessee. Had a tweet that said Skyy is gonna look good in orange and white. That tweet has since been deleted.

Not getting the warm and fuzzies.

I know Houston has performed very well the past couple seasons. I would hope that we possess a recruiting advantage and can go after athletic players that can do both and have an advantage in recruiting over the vast majority of schools including Houston. Whether we do or not remains to be seen. After the past couple years that seems to be the case and I'd hope before we take on a sub par shooter we at least try for a bit to find those that can defend and shoot the ball. Guys like RJ, Sky, and those others we are signing and recruiting. If we can't then ok.
Obviously good shooters are preferable, but I think in the college game you can get away with a pg who isn't a great shooter if they are able to attack the paint and draw the defense. I have no idea if Williams is that type of player or not.

Why would he “announce” he’s staying if he’s not in a portal or draft process? The silent the better.
I agree but times are different. I don’t really mean a formal announcement more so a social media post with a “year 3” caption or something
