Guessing it will probably be next weekend before news starts breaking about transfers out and visits being lined up. Underwood will be in N.O. until Tuesday So nothing will happen until he’s back in town.
Ty needs to close the deal with Skyy at that game!
I would be surprised if deal is not already closed.Ty needs to close the deal with Skyy at that game!
People who are senselessly negative find it essential to style themselves as “realists” … the feeling of maintaining that persona is the only positivity they get to enjoy. So from now on only positive news then. If we lose a commit, it will be because he wants to get some training for one year before transferring to the Beloved. Better yet, 2 Recruiting threads: One called “Realistic Recruiting Thread” and one called “Sunshine and Rainbows Recruiting Thread.” Then everybody’s happy.

DB what is your current read on TSJ. I know things can change week to week but what is the feel where the Illini stand.Correct
Yeah that’s not true at all. But alright!Skyy will end up at Illinois but TSJ… the insiders on here got way ahead of themselves with TSJ and all the credit talk is just an excuse. It was always going to be a blue blood.
Already getting reviews as ELITE? That has to be a good sign, right?
Kid looks taller too. Pushing 6' 6", I reckon.
technically not an all caps elite review, but trending in the right directionAlready getting reviews as ELITE? That has to be a good sign, right?
As others have said, the admissions hurdle is the only reason why TSJ isn’t an Illini. The foresight on that wasn’t the best. It is being worked through but I’m certainly not as optimistic as I was leading up to him entering the portal.DB what is your current read on TSJ. TSJ is waiting for a domino to drop before making any decisions. Think the admissions thing has been sorted out. Illinois was very proactive there. It’s like pulling teeth with grad programs though.DB what is your current read on TSJ. I know things can change week to week but what is the feel where the Illini stand.
I nominate for POTDPeople who are senselessly negative find it essential to style themselves as “realists” … the feeling of maintaining that persona is the only positivity they get to enjoy.
Seriously, lighten up! We’re all adults and don’t need anyone to ~temper our expectations~. It’s perfectly possible to be less optimistic than others and not stick out like a sore thumb for being overly negative.
Can you imagine where Morez Johnson would come in if he were committed to Kentucky? Definitely top 15!I missed it but 247 came out with their 2024 rankings in February. Morez comes in at 40 and his teammate James Brown comes in at 24. They are 1&2 in the state of Illinois.

I know know what it feels like to be 0440 for a day. My parents are at the Final 4 they just go every year to party regardless what teams are there but they ran into Underwood, Trent, Plummer, Greg Guard, and the Illini basketball managers. They got tons of recruiting and current player scoop on everyone from the managers but I’m just gonna keep it all to myself
My guess is Jacob Grandison. They play the same position.TSJ is waiting for a domino to drop before making any decisions. Think the admissions thing has been sorted out. Illinois was very proactive there. It’s like pulling teeth with grad programs though.
