1. Throwing rocket outlet passes to Brandin Podziemski, Jayden Epps and Sencire Harris streaking downcourt after missed shot

2. Hitting turnaround 10 footers ala Elvin Hayes

3. Not even waiting for the double team to arrive, firing the ball to wide open Luke Good, RJ Melendez for 3 pointers

4. Drilling 75% of his free throws

Sure fire lottery pick if he learn 2 out of 4 of these. Kofi is very smart and improved tremendously every off season. I can see it happening if he returns.

Even so it will take a while to jump RJ and Goode because they are better shooters. He may later but its not likely as a freshman but who knows.

That doesn't mean they could cover EJ Liddell or others that caused us major issues as well as Shannon or a more experienced Hawkins should be able to now. I also am not sure that RJ, Epps, Skyy or Goode won't be very good shooters. I think they will shoot better than Trent or DMW. Trent was streaky but not a lights out shooter. Small sample size but RJ shot 60 percent from 3. I think he will shoot a solid 40 percent of better. Plus TJS shot it at nearly 39 percent last year. Not many guys last year were that good either.

Right now Hard to say what illini look like offensively and defensively.

Other than replacement for Plummer we should be as good and likely better offensively at the other 4 positions.

Can’t teach size so while we are younger and less experienced looking forward to watching the team develop and defend.

Hoping our offensive scheme occasionally looks like North Carolina (bacot/kofi) at the top of the key setting picks and opening up the lane.

I will say a line up of Skyy, RJ, TSJ, Hawkins, and Kofi has a very high ceiling. That doesn't even account for some of the other guys that would be in the rotation. Only concern would be 3 pt shooting. I don't think there is a lights out shooter on the team or talked about in the transfer market. They can be solid as a group but I wouldn't call it a strength.

Thinking of the above lineup just goes to show the potential depth of talent this team could have, as guys like Epps, Ty Rogers, and the experienced portal transfer pg (yet to be named) aren’t even discussed.

I mean - damn!
