Are we saying our starting lineup could be

Skyy
Murray
TSJ
Hawkins/Dain
Kofi

That is a super team.
I would say that we get Skyy and either TSJ or Murray. Lineup would be Skyy, RJ, TSJ/Murray, Hawkins and Kofi. Dain, Goode, Podz, Epps, Harris and Rogers. Thats a very good 11 man rotation. Very athletic and it would wear teams out.

Very few good shooters shoot flat shots, there are always exceptions to the norm.
Yeah, some great ones too. Coaches will go with what works for Coleman is the point.

Yeah, that rotation would be absolutely filthy. Young, but with a couple vets, would be one of the best in the country. Big, long, athletic, tough.

Is he really that athletic though? He is slow laterally. Kills him

I would say for a 6'10" guy he is definitely not slow. He can improve sure. Especially against quicker wing players which he has to guard at times, but to act like the guy is slow seems ridiculous. We just have to do a better job utilizing his strengths against those smaller, quicker players when they are defending him instead of relegating him to passing the ball around the perimeter. Because what he gives up in speed he certainly compensates for.

I think they have hired his lead recruiter from LSU.
makes sense. its just disappointing to miss out on a guy that is HUGE difference-maker on a team like ours, yet he wants to play for a team with 0 conference wins the previous season.

Agree 💯, he is slow and weak when driving. He gets knocked off his line constantly. His Arc on 3's and Free throws is very flat. I will say if he fixes his Arc and gets stronger. he will be a 3 level player and beast. I do believe he will get there!

Is he athletic like RJ, no. However, he moves his feet better than your average 6'10" guy.
He is certainly better than average but the does not make him very athletic. NBA guys that are 6'10" and can move laterally, are very fast, have awesome hand eye coordination and can jump out of the gym are very athletic. Honestly that's one reason the B10 as a whole has struggled at times. Elite bigs that athletic have played elsewhere. He is a good athlete much like Brian Cook with out the shooting ability thus far. Hawk can't create his own shot just yet like NBA athletes can. He is a good athlete and can be a very effective college player.

His flashes are nuts. It's not just oops and offensive rebounds, it's the occasional brilliant pass, the game with four 3s, the blocked shots, and his ability to move laterally at his size defensively (watch what he did to Murray and RHJ in the Iowa and Rutgers games earlier this season, it was remarkable).

I don't know that he's going to put it all together and do everything consistently (still think he'd need to put a bit of weight on too), but if he does, he can be legit incredible, IMO.
