I remember someone saying Grandison is not returning, no clue if thats reliable though. Haven't seen anyone comment on Hutch, but its something I couldve missed.
Perhaps… but those dominoes haven’t fallen yet. Until they or the coaching staff say otherwise, both are part of the team.

The coaches don’t have to keep Grandy or a hutch. Their original eligibility is up so the team doesn’t have to renew the scholarship if they don’t want to.

If Skyy commits today, we’re at 14 players. One must go. If TSJ commits as well, we’re at 15. Two must go.

Grandison and Hutch do not count right now if I'm not mistaken. They have an option to use this year, but they are not obligated to use it and we are not obligated to grant it with us.

Is it too early to start talking about ZZ?

I count 12 including Kofi and Skyy

Ty, Jayden Sencire Skyy
Luke, RJ Brandin Dainja
Brandon, Coleman
Kofi, BBV

I vote we take TSJ and call it a day unless somebody else leaves

3 scholarships go on the floor, 5 men enter, only the strong survive.

Or there is one guy that doesn't appear physically capable of playing and another one that may be ready to move to another chapter of life.
OTSS only the strong survive! Break down!

Now don't go getting soft on me this summer....I know... you're sitting around the pool.. Chasing the muff around.

Break down!

They do count, but they have the option to stay if the team wants them to. They will count as part of the 13 if they did.

Hutch and Grandison are not coming back
Thanks - I've seen this posted for awhile now. Do you know if they will try to play somewhere else, or just move on to the next stage of their lives? Appreciate what they both gave to the program. Jake obviously much more on the court and will have great memories of all the little plays he made to help win games in 2021, and then in 2022 he was huge in wins over Michigan State and Indiana, among many others. So wish he didn't get hurt on a play you otherwise wouldn't think twice about at the very end of a home win over Penn State.

But was curious if either will try to continue playing college basketball somewhere else, or if you know. Thanks.

Jake will have plenty of opportunities overseas I would think.

You 100% want Shannon over Hopkins. Not even close.
I agree as it pertains to next season. However if we could get 3 years out of Hopkins vs likely 1 from Shannon then it's a more difficult decision. Hopkins was highly rated and could bring quite a bit for more than just one season.

True, but if Kofi comes back, we move all the chips to the center of the table. No more of this losing in the first weekend of the tournament business.

If TSJ can get got, then you get him. Should it happen, we can be debating about a preseason Top 5 team and the expectations that come along with that.

All im saying is if the Skyy commit does happen, the first .gif that gets posted better be the “it’s happening” one. Saw it too many times in my years and have it backfire.
