Wouldn't most of these guys, Podz, Belo, Kofi, still be on campus finishing up classes? It's not like Belo is now on St. Johns campus enrolled in classes.

I'm imagining we'll be closer to what the offense (and maybe defense) looked like with BU first came but with top tier talent, more athleticism and better shooting.

I think 7 second offense was mantra when he first arrived?

Although that seemed to fade over time...

I coached college basketball for ten years. The MOST OVERRATED aspect of the game is the starting lineup.

I use to tell them all the time “You need to be way more worried about who I trust at the end of a close game, rather than who I trust to get the jump ball correct.”

I can say for sure, but I'm guessing that most people uses "Who is starting?" as an easy proxy for "Who plays the most minutes, is relied upon the most, is given the most opportunities, etc." Sure, in different game situations at the end, you might play different guys or different combinations. And they may not really resemble who are the biggest overall contributors or who have played the most during the game.

The point is -- with any given combination of guys, who are the ones playing the most? But instead of saying all that, we can just say, "Who starts?"

@illini0440 we obviously don’t know what Cam Whitmore is going to do but does the staff take both him and Jones or would it be first come first serve? I would rather have Whitmore if that is a legit option. But we can’t have both and keep RJ I would think.

Reid, M.Bates, E.Bates,C.Whitmore, (Ramey or Vet Pg). For lieb, bbv, grandison, Hutchinson, +1. We would be really young but let’s dream. I think you can promise competing for time but no starting role would be promised.
