If we assume we are not taking Jones and Emoni....do you slow play Jones, hoping to get Emoni? I think it's a tough debate.

I guess it also depends on what the staff thinks is left in the portal. Sounds like there are still quite a few good names that will be available (Christie?).

Absolutely not, IMO. If we're beyond kicking the tires with Bates, I sincerely hope that we're doing extreme due diligence. Lotta warning lights there and they're flashing.

The same scenario/question applies to Whitmore and Jones. Assuming Whitmore enters the portal, I'd damn sure ascertain if we're a legit contender. But a long term/indefinite slow play on Jones? I don't think so. That's a recipe for losing him.

No portal necessary as he's not even on campus yet. He just needs to reopen his recruitment.

You can tell by watching BU’s interview with the media yesterday about Kofi, what they are targeting in the portal and in recruiting. He’s obviously not going to say any names but there are clues there.

Small forward/shooting guard types with length and athleticism that can drive to the lane and that can flat out shoot the rock. Maybe a backup PG as well and a big but I think you can tell that BU is happy what he’s seeing from Dain so far and that’s not a top priority at the moment.

The point is -- with any given combination of guys, who are the ones playing the most? But instead of saying all that, we can just say, "Who starts?"

I know I am new but I have always been a follower of the board but I was never able to join till now because of affiliation to the program. No I am not connected like our insiders are but I do have background and insight into the program. So here is what I will say every one gets obsessed with some of these transfers but please realize a lot of them are transferring because they are told or see the writing on the wall that they won’t play at that school or they are a locker room cancer. I think we can all agree Brad and the assistants have great eyes for guys that will fit the culture.
