Marcus Liberty in 1987 for sure. Probably Nick Weatherspoon in 1969 and Rich Jones in 1964.

Lowell Hamilton in 1985 and Nick Anderson in 1986 were close. Derek Harper in 1980 and Efrem Winters in 1982 were too. Possibly Bruce Douglas in 1982. There might have been others before my time.

Portal reasons:

More playing time (better players ahead of me)
NIL payment
Better fit for my game
Higher competition level
Higher NBA visibility (TV and Ranked team)
More collegial teammates
Coach that appreciates me
Closer to home and family

Oscar T. was considered lazy by Huggins, which is why he was passed on the depth chart.

“We lost an alleged McDonald’s All-American because he didn’t like the fact that we were making him do things that were hard,” Huggins said. “So, we’re fine.”

Part of the struggle is figuring out which guys have a reputation that is earned and can't be changed, and who just needs to grow up a little bit. UK has obviously benefitted from gambling on a guy who seemed like a headcase to some, but perhaps just needed a wakeup call.

Frequently, adversity is a great motivator. Hopefully, that will play out with Dainja.

DeVion Harmon? Low TO rate for a 2 guard and shot 37% from 3. Solid defender, more experienced than Murray but not better. Basically a poor man's Murray but with more experience

I referred to the portal ranking. Also, I assume we are looking for somebody who will help immediately. Not a project like Podz.
