10000% agree. If you just listen to that clip you’re doing yourself a disservice.
I applaud Dan for replacing it on the front page. It wasn't even a good quote.

Coleman just seems to be acknowledging that things are up in the air - the window is open for him (and other guys) and he hasn't yet had a solid conversation with the guy who needs to offer him a scholarship for next year.

There were things he could have said ("I hope I'm here next year", or "I'm keeping my options open") if he was really trying to engage on the topic. He wasn't. He's a sophomore graciously giving some token interview time. He was just getting into a groove talking about basketball and got thrown a curveball question.

I’d be psyched if:
Acewolf
TSJ
David Jones

Anyone else I don’t know enough about and is a wait and see for me
what is the thrill with adam miller? he left, he isn't coming back and quite frankly, much of his success was being the beneficiary of playing with Ayo. Ship has sailed and I can assure there are other guards better than him interested in Illinois

I mean, he was pretty highly ranked. He should be a really good college player for his final 3-4 years.

Such as? Miller is damn good. As a freshman he was a very solid defender, shot barely under 50 percent from the field and 34 from three. I have heard some names but not many check all those boxes! Plus He started every game for a reason on a #1 seed. There are not a lot out there better than him. Plus he should certainly get better. That said I think we will be fine but he is not somehow not good enough simply because he left to make others happy. So who is better than him the wants to put both feet in? I'd be ecstatic if he came back or if someone close to as good as he is ready to commit not just be interested. Especially if they have several years of eligibility left which he should after the injury and covid.

So of all the guard names we've been linked to (Ramey, Malachi Smith, McCullar, TSJ)

Is he better than any? No, and by a wide margin

I can only do this so many times before he plays for Mizzou if thats what happens, but once again I am convinced some of you watched a different Adam Miller.

Ooo, disagree. I saw a lot of talent in him, his 3-point shot looked one year from being elite and he’s won playing for Brad … I’d take him back tomorrow

With that said, this staff has won the benefit of our doubts.

Hmmm...not sure here. Don't think he is a worse pickup by a wide margin. I know nothing about the McCullar dude. TSJ is clearly better. Guessing he is similar player to Smith and Ramey might be more useful as a PG on our team next year, but Miller is similarly talented to Ramey, IMO.

I think you underrate Miller, but oh well.

I think his defense was solid and he developed a mid-range by the end of the season, as well. Having said that, He shot wide-open 3s and was rarely a threat off the dribble. Shot 39% from the field, 34 from 3, and 68 FT. He is also coming off an ACL tear. I know Skyy is coming off a similar injury as well but 1. he has been playing (aside from the recent shin splints) and 2. his talent is on a different level. As insiders have said, he might not be here for more than a year or two.

Miller isn't a hard pass, but not a take right now for me

I thought it was just yesterday the staff was no longer interested in Shannon.
