To close out a loop, the Big Ten has guaranteed 4-year scholarships these days. Juwan couldn't really Crean a kid even if he wanted to. All of Michigan's scholarship roster was at least decently well regarded, so it would be a terrible look if he tried to kick a kid off the team if they were 5 minutes to a voluntary workout or something.

So after a thorough examination of Illini Twitter it seems apparent to me all the TSJ smoke is coming from one, singular post on one of the pay boards. Which is not by any means to say it can't be accurate but it sure would be helpful if any of the beat guys or more reputable bloggers added anything of substance.

I don't know that I'd even go so far as to call what we have to this point, smoke. More like kindling.

TSJ's portal recruitment is so fluid IMO. Did he do this intentionally or could not make up his mind?

Well, it would be helpful to you. None of this matters to the program.

I don’t really know what this is supposed to mean. There was no implied value of significance to the program.

Yes - for me personally, I’d like to see a tweet from someone reputable about whether this is something or nothing. I’m not expecting a phone call from Josh Whitman to keep me in the loop.

I just feel like this might be naive.

I suppose we are just going to have to wait for the kid to tweet it out himself like the good ol’ days.

If its TSJ does that help with McCullar? He had a steady hand in the tourney, would love to have him as a ball handling option this year..
I would love this, but remember, we're treading easily with RJ. Mccullar/Shannon both play the 3, that would leave RJ with about 10-15mpg IMO
