For some of us the good old days were waiting for the weekly Tatelines or SMSL.I suppose we are just going to have to wait for the kid to tweet it out himself like the good ol’ days.
Ugh...I despised Tatelines. I read them religiously, but I never felt he had a true read on any of the teams. He was the classic, "If we score more points than them, we should win the game," kind of analyst. (P.S. I'm not Loren Tate)For some of us the good old days were waiting for the weekly Tatelines or SMSL.
It's possible that the whole AAU coach says he's going to Michigan followed by TSJ's camp saying "no he's not committed yet.." and then silence could very well be (totally spitballing here, I have no info) a case where he did soft commit but they need a spot to open up and Howard is trying to convince an end of roster guy to go seek options elsewhere.I just feel like this might be naive.
Or you could just assign the guy treadmill duty. It's possible that the whole AAU coach says he's going to Michigan followed by TSJ's camp saying "no he's not committed yet.." and then silence could very well be (totally spitballing here, I have no info) a case where he did soft commit but they need a spot to open up and Howard is trying to convince an end of roster guy to go seek options elsewhere.
But you CANNOT outright Crean in the Big Ten before a player has been there for 4 years. The Big Ten switched its policy a few years ago to guarantee 4-year scholarships (a player can still be removed for non-basketball reasons such as behavioral or academics). For instance, Underwood cannot just outright cut Lieb if he wants to stick around and finish his Illinois degree in order to open up a spot (of course, we have so many spots as of this moment that this doesn't even seem that desirable since we likely won't fill all the spot as is). Like it is not allowed. You can always tell a player "I think it would be better for you if you transferred because I do not foresee a scenario where you see the floor next season or even beyond", but you cannot tell them that they don't have a scholarship next season due to basketball reasons.
It is very possible Michigan could be in a numbers crunch right now. Happens all the time with Football teams where they really have to scramble to get under 85. Less frequently in Basketball because the 3rd stringers usually don't want to stick around and 2nd stringers leave regularly too, but every situation is unique.
Such torture. That kind of punishment is only reserved for guys who’s names rhyme with Fark Pith.Or you could just assign the guy treadmill duty.
I like to think that TSJ could slide up to the 2 guard based on his college experience and athletic ability. Hopeful/wishful thinking here...I would love this, but remember, we're treading easily with RJ. Mccullar/Shannon both play the 3, that would leave RJ with about 10-15mpg IMO
what's the difference between a 2 and a 3?I like to think that TSJ could slide up to the 2 guard based on his college experience and athletic ability. Hopeful/wishful thinking here...
what's the difference between a 2 and a 3?
These days, seems to me the 2 spot is more D and 3, while the best 3's can drift out for a corner three-pointer, drive to the basket, take alley-oops, and grab rebounds. Pretty much describing Ramses.what's the difference between a 2 and a 3?
Which guy you guard?what's the difference between a 2 and a 3?
I think someone just wanted to be sarcastic, lolWhich guy you guard?

I'm not sure why people are pretending Wischnowsky has any insight. He's a guy on Twitter who makes everything about himself and pretends he's a big deal. That's it. He's reading Tweets just like everyone else.Seems (just speculation at this point) that the Shannon Jr. talks have picked up again. Is there any way that Dave Wischnowsky's cryptic tweet could be referencing? God, I hope so. We deserve positive portal news at this point.
This is the cutting edge inside information that makes my subscription price to Illinois Loyalty worth every penny!3-2=1
RJ will be getting 30 MPG next year regardless of who is brought in. This is his team now.I would love this, but remember, we're treading easily with RJ. Mccullar/Shannon both play the 3, that would leave RJ with about 10-15mpg IMO
