Perhaps he was weighing his options, including ending his basketball career to become a law student, and has opted to continue his basketball career instead
He can do both elsewhere and get playing time. I love U of I and our hoops but I would wanna play too. This isn't the only quality law school with a basketball program. Best of luck BV. This is not a decision I feel he will regret unlike some have made recently and last season.

If Co Hawk and/or Dain aren’t starting then something major has to happen? What do you think that would be, if you had to guess?
Sources tell me Larry Bird is considering hitting the transfer portal. It's unclear if he would consider Illinois, however, since Coleman Hawkins, who is like a more athletic Larry Bird, would be ahead of him at his position.

If Hawk starts shooting, leading, running, rebounding and passing like Bird we will for sure end up ranked! Especially given the recent vibes in the portal.
Hawk does have the stache'!

I really don't think you can be in law school and play D1 basketball at the same time.. welcome to have BBV prove me wrong, of course. But I guess we'll see. My best guess is that he will go to law school after he is done playing basketball.

Those must be some strong sauces

I'm confused by the people that think we should not pursue any transfers so as to not upset the players that originally committed here. Those players will either stay or leave as they feel regardless. Underwood's job is to build the best possible roster, no matter what method he goes about it.

Dear Dan,
Is there any way you can create a "block all but..." button, so I could block everyone but you, Illini0440 and Indy Illini Fan. It would be great if I only had one or two pages of recruiting thread to read daily. The other posters can be entertaining at times, but I don't have an hour a day to keep up with the recruiting thread at this time.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Best regards,
alaskaillini

Isiaih Mosely in the portal finally.

For the record he is from Columbia, MO

EDIT: Didn't realize Noz offered him out of HS and he chose Missouri St.
I live in Columbia. There were two others besides Isaiah on that Rockbridge team that are currently playing D1. One the starting point guard at KU,and the other is with Isaiah at Mo State. All three had ZERO interest in playing for MU. MU got on them late and was never in the game. I don't see MU being a factor in this one. Think he will want to go as big time as he can especially after his buddy just won it all. He is a very, very good player. Eye test he is even better than his stats which are very good. Would be a fantastic get.

respect my decision™
I'm not concerned about RJ leaving, and I'm sure the staff has factored in such a possibility into all their calculations, but is your point that you should never consider the secondary effects of your decisions?

That is most definitely not my point.

Maybe the "booms" have always just been the sound of us getting punched in the face (repeatedly).

Bill Bradley played at Princeton and even professionally for a year at Oxford. Regardless enjoy being young and have fun.
