This seems insane, but I’d probably jump on board pretty quickly if it were true. I’d be willing to bet Bates becomes a really good college player.

Regardless of how everything plays out, reasonable fans should feel good about Underwood and Co being able to navigate the portal waters and come out in good shape. For not being a blue blood, we have so much to offer with NIL offers alone.
I'm not sure where to put this... it's NIL, it's transfer portal, it's a lot of stuff. But I'm sure we all assumed this was happening behind the scenes anyway but for it to come out this quickly... I'm surprised.

He led Miami to an Elite Eight and then saw some new guy come in and get $800k + a car. I kind of understand why he would want more money. It's a weird dynamic, but I bet we'll see this more often.

Obvious to me Miami used out their NIL money and couldn't match Wong's "salary" to Pack's. I did say NIL is a two edge sword in another post and we will find out whether it backs fire on UM soon enough.
People can hate on this.. but coaches have been doing it for years behind the scenes. It is just in the open now.
I mean, Nijel got $400k a year for 2 years and a car … That’s small potatoes compared to some of these guys.
I was told that Wong got something EXTREMELY similar, and his “circle” thinks he’s worth double …
