There are 200 minutes available every game. 8 deep can average 20+ minutes. If every player thinks they should be the only talented player at their position, we will always be one injury away from a lost season.

I'm more than happy to see Underwood adopting the Portal/NIL era better than Weber not adopting the social media era with recruits/transfers. Having a coach that can change/adapt to the ever-changing cultures will only benefit us in the future, not set us back like Weber did.

I think Goode and Melendez will be in Champaign next year no matter what. Hawkins is more iffy. To be honest if Nance coming scares him off then meh. There’s room for both to start so seems silly to me but he’s gotta do whatever he thinks is best for himself. We can’t just go in with a big man room full of Brandon Liebs to placate one guy.

Hopefully these experts are correct - I like that Austin Massey is InsidetheRedRaiders.com so at least his is not random fan. Plus since he is covers Texas Tech maybe he has some inside knowledge. Sure would like to see Derek Piper ILL and Jerry Meyer NAT get on board.
I really like the fact TSJ is a senior. Coleman, TSJ and Lieb will be our only upperclassmen unless we get some others thru portal. I also like the fact that TSJ is very athletic. I loved Kofi/Trent/Alphonso/Jacob but only Kofi had off the scale athleticism. In Brad we trust !

A 7 man of Skyy, TSJ, Melendez, Nance, Hawkins, Goode and Dainja with the other freshmen pushing and competing for more time looks pretty solid to me.
