Love his upside but for a guy who has proven very little...hope he is right and makes a big enough jump to put himself in a position to be drafted. Would mean great things for the team this year.

I consider this an all-around good deal --- for all parties involved. Seems totally fair/appropriate in today's world. And I hope his 2023 destination is an NBA first rounder!!!

Kofi had put his name in the year before. There is nothing wrong to think about it or even test the water as along as you don't hire an agent. Of course, statistics will probably tell us lots of guys transferred after they declared and then withdraw.
Great news about him likely staying. Just hope he doesn’t try and go too hard jacking up threes to prove something to nba scouts.
They all think they are NBA ready. Let's see how the year goes. I hope Kofi banks however just cause you wanna go in a year doesn't mean you should. How many guys come in thinking they are not playing all 4 years and go to the league vs how many actually do. Whatever these young men decide to do I hope it's a wise decision for them long term.
He will be fine, the kid showed improvement this season and should be better next yr.
We can no longer worry about more than one year at a time. We lost all 5 starters from last years team. Between the Portal and the Draft, nothing is for sure.
Hope he truly understands how far he is from the NBA. You don't decide you're leaving early until you've done enough to justify that. To date, he hasn't.

The negative take is frustrating. He is coming back; that is great for us. Let’s cheer him on and hope he steps up his game and achieves his goal. Our interests are aligned with his. As 2020 said it’s one year at a time anyway these days. Let’s show the kids coming back some support instead of highlighting their negatives. If they were perfect they’d be gone earning 7+ figures in the NBA already.
Hawkins will have plenty of minutes and opportunity to go around. We're still short with bigs even if we add 2. We lost Kofi, Payne and BBV and in practice only picked up Dain. Hopefully the Nance rumors really have legs because I think the two would help each other tremendously.

Nance or no Nance......Five out with CoHawk, TSJ, Skyy, RJ, Ty, Epps (transfer guard) sounds fun as hell. Some Sincere, Dain-gerous, Goode-ness off the bench, however you configure it after practicing with several different looks.
