DB11 says no PN.
Louisvillle says PN coming.
Apparently a showdown between DB11 and Louisville.
Who prevails?
0440....you want to be the bookie and provide some odds here?
Indy can handle the officiating.

Said this in yesterday's thread too: he's not showing up in any mock drafts. I've seen him ranked in the #70-90 range on a couple sites ranking players in the draft. There are 58 picks. Maaaaaaaybe he crushes workouts and combine and works his way into the second round conversation but he's not going to be a first round pick, and appears far more likely to go undrafted.
Only 58 picks? Please educate me

The Bulls (Lonzo Ball) and Heat (Kyle Lowry) lost a second-round pick each as punishment for tampering with free agents (negotiating with them before free agency started).

Please PN….

Ramey has went silent since entering, but from everything thing I’ve read this far, he seems content with keeping his name in the draft.

I believe it was actually the Bucks for the failed Bogdanovic sign-and-trade, rather than the Bulls for this draft. Bulls lost their next available 2nd round pick, but had already traded all their upcoming 2nd round picks until I think the 2026 draft.

I really struggle with the whole Ramey thing ... I just don't think he's the missing piece ... Especially with him being so demanding about starting ...

I legitimately do not believe he provides us much more than Skyy & Epps can ... And I would rather let those two play through their mistakes and keep them around than throw Ramey out there for 1 year and risk losing one of those young guys 🤷‍♂️

Nance/Dain/Hawkins at the 5.. is the staff content with that or would they look for a 4th?
If we're lucky enough to get Nance, he'd technically be our 4. 5s would be Hawk, Dianja, and Lieb. Though obviously Hawk and Dianja have a lot of 4 skills. Underwood wants five guys on the floor that can shoot it.

I'm with you. I would like to add a guard because we're still not deep there (really only three true guards and all are FR). But I'd rather have a guy that's not insistent on starting and/or playing 30 mpg. -- unless he is decidedly better than Skyy and Epps, which I don't think Ramey is.

I have similar thoughts. I think I'd rather see the two freshmen point guards develop. Rodgers could run the offense in a pinch.

When he entered the portal ... They shot down the St. John's talk right away, and said he was destined for "bigger things" ...

Anderson wouldn't have had a shot at him without Curbelo & Vetrone ... Good for them ... 🤷‍♂️
Got to say of all the college basketball teams I don't want to see win -- and I have a LONG list and hold grudges longer than I should -- St. John's isn't really one of them. Grew up really enjoying the Chris Mullin, Bill Wennington and Walter Berry teams, and it doesn't feel like they've been good since then. Huge Curbelo fan and will be pulling for them now with Jones too with Anderson coaching 'em, seems like they should be a lot of fun. And not like I really like any of the other Big East schools - would like to see St. John's do well with this group; of course, just not as well as Illinois

I think the challenge is, how do you recruit a strong backup transfer?

You can bring in a high school kid and tell him Skyy won't be here 4 years, so you'll start out as a backup but have plenty of PT become available. With a transfer, if they've accomplished enough to make you want them, someone else is going to be willing to give them a starting role. I was very much against Jeremiah Williams, and while his shoulder surgery still greatly concerns me, he is the type of guy we need. We need someone willing to play 15-20 minutes, who can be a distribution first PG, that can play strong defense.

I don't think that guy is out there anymore. Kyle Lofton might fit the bill, but sub 30% 3 pt shooting is concerning. While you don't need a lot of points out of a backup, you don't want a guy the defense doesn't have to guard. Justin Powell is an interesting player. Why in the world did he transfer? Did Auburn bring someone in that stole his spot? His Fr. year was fantastic. Then he transfers and Soph year he is getting half the minutes and stats tank. So based on that, I'd guess he is looking to get back to that 30 mpg world. If he would be willing to play a backup role, he'd be my top choice.

These are my thoughts exactly. I hope we don’t get him

I agree with everything you just said, but you have to wonder what veteran experience would do for us in postseason play. I like having a veteran guard in big games, but I understand the concern for the younger guys
