Nope... nothing new from me either. But when someone does break some good/bad news, I'd like to be able to swiftly find the post and not have to worry about essentially scrolling through a 5th grader's camera roll full of worn-out GIFs and unfunny material.
I was thinking teenagers, but perhaps you are right. If the GIFers are looking for attention, they are getting the oposite reaction from me as my list of ignores is rapidly getting longer.

Just gonna throw this out there for those that complain we don't talk enough about recruiting. Mayer’s shooting percentage went down significantly (fg% 48.9 to 40.9 and 3p% 39.5 to 32.4) with more playing time (min. 15.7 to 22.8) this past season, which is a little concerning. His free throw percentage did at least go up, though (ft% 59.2 to 70.0). He stands to make a lot of money if he can get that shot more consistent. He has solid rebounding numbers (reb. 5.0) and plays stellar defense (stl. 1.2). His versatility and length (6'9") are his biggest assets and I think BU could find a lot of ways to use him. Also, obviously, he knows what it takes to win.

If it’s an either-or situation, I’d rather have Nance. Though, I would hope that’s not the case, as Nance is more of a 4/5 and Mayer is a wing. I would be pretty darn excited to see Mayer in the orange and blue next year and could learn to love the mullet.

Bulls don't have a 2nd round pick, so are you suggesting they'd take him with their 1st (#18)? That's pretty unrealistic.
I want the best for Kofi and I hope he proves the so called experts wrong but it's more probable than not that his decision to leave and not stay one or even two more years is one that is going to have an opportunity cost of over seven figures if he had stayed as. long as possible. He for sure would have cashed huge in his NIL like Oscar did. I hope he does by leaving but I highly doubt it given today's NBA.
I wonder who else the staff is strongly considering besides Nance and Maher? Any transfer PGs we are considering?

I'd much prefer Nance. I like how he has improved his stats every year. I don't think you can bank on 45% from 3 again, but if he can stay at 40% or better, as a 6'10" post player, that's a major weapon.

Yeah, Nance fills an obvious hole. Mayer, while a really intriguing piece, doesn't.

I couldn't agree more. Nance would be the "missing piece." Throw him into the mix and you're looking at a team with a very high ceiling. And we don't need any more wings. I hope Underwood agrees.

I think either fits it. Mayer has had success on a title team and has more defensive versatility. Nance flourished in a big man role. Either way, if fortunate to land one, we are probably looking at our 3rd or 4th best player on a very good team and provides some veteran established play on a team full of talented but young players.

They're a mid-major who won 21 games last year and played in the NIT. He will likely see the court for significant minutes day 1. Guess I don't get the hate for this move lol. Best of luck to the kid.

(He also gets to live in Cali... decent deal there.)
Gets to live in Cali...ON SOMEONE ELSE'S DIME.
Very nice deal for him. I grew up in the Midwest, moved out to California. Not moving back.

Definitely a why not both? deal here. Agree on Nance 100%. Agree on Mayer too. He has the potential to be deadly.

As much as I love RJ and Skyy, I think Nance walks onto our team as our first or second best player (depends on TSJ) and could crack All-B1G first team.

Nance is the better fit. If they didn’t have Melendez and Shannon than I would say Mayer is the better fit but they already have length at the guard spots.

Best of luck Podz. He'll be one I'm likely to track a bit.

With no more easy transfers, he's got to find the right spot in terms of education and playing time. Even if a better opportunity presented itself you then have to wonder how good it will look in a year.

Santa Clara also seems to be trending up a bit.

I don't know anything about his reputation as a guy to play for, but I always thought Herb Sendek got a raw deal at NC State. They made a huge mistake firing him for Sidney Lowe, were perhaps a bit better under Mark Gottfried, but basically Sendek had them consistently at a pretty decent level CONSIDERING WHAT THEY'RE UP AGAINST.

I hope it works out for Podz playing for him.

Not sure how to bold. Capitalized instead. Good point, it would be pretty rough being the third most storied college basketball program in your county, and still having high expectations.
