It's pretty crazy that if Nance came to Illinois, Hawkins would be the only sub-4 star guy out of high school among the top 11 players. And that's a dude who actually has an outside shot of making the NBA according to people. Lots of good competition for tick.

Agreed, I see RJ over Hawk because he is a better shooter and slasher. If Hawk could nail down his stroke from three and improve from last seasons 29 percent to the mid to upper 30s then he could have a stronger argument to challenge RJ at that spot. Regardless Hawk will player starters minutes.

Of course some coaches consider defense.

How wild is it that we are a guy who played at Northwestern away from possibly being a legitimate national title contender? I guess I should have entered that Houston Final Four lottery after all. What sort of program loses their entire roster and reloads that same offseason without multiple projected lotto picks in the incoming recruiting class? Underwood is a portal master, and yes I am getting way ahead of myself.
