Well, we quickly learned not to laugh at “Cockburn” unless you, like that poor referee, wants your head bashed inLongwood. A hilarious college name and inclusion.
I’ve actually seen their name attached to more than a few recruits in this round of offers/interest. Seems weird — and out of place.

I don’t think we’re underrated.
Losing:
1st team all big ten
2nd team all big ten
3rd team all big ten
5th year glue guy (DW)
4th year everything guy (JG)
Pre-season all big ten (AC)
That’s six rotation guys, three of whom were all conference, one was in the POY conversation.
Gaining:
Big 12 honorable mention (MM)
6th best player on Texas Tech (they had five guys honorable mention or higher, not our guy)
Some exciting, but not top 25, freshmen
More playing time for two guys who showed a lot of potential when they could be protected by limited minutes (RJM, CH)
We’ve got big potential, but outside of NCAA tournament finish, there’s much more downside than upside (can’t be much upside to a conference title).
I’m excited as can be - I just think they’re properly rated until they prove otherwise.

Taking 1 more and keeping 1 open this year, Brad likes having one available at semester … Expect us to be extremely active if the right guys hop in the portal at semester.
Also expect us to add a couple 2023s this summer. Plan right now is to take 2 HS kids with the possibility of a 3rd if it’s the right kid and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if 2 are wrapped up by July - August ish … Obviously subject to change but things are in a good spot right now.
