This staff does not put all its eggs in one basket.
Its a huge amount of work but we contact recruits all over the world. I can only imagine how many hundreds of kids are on Illini recruiting board.
You'd bet every player is rated better than the 51st rated player in the 2024 class and that he for sure would have been "recruited over'? ZZ Clark is definitely not going to be ranked higher than him and we have people going crazy over the 68th rated player in the 2022 class...No I know what you meant, I was just stating this in general. With the way the stuff has been coming through, I'm not sure why anyone would be upset. No doubt he could become a nice player but I'd be willing to bet every player in the '23 and '24 class is ranked higher than him. Obviously rankings don't mean everything but from what I heard staff cooled on him quickly.

Lol, it's ok to admit we don't get every single player without having to talk smack about teenagers.
Good luck to him, even if I hope he loses every Illinois-Iowa game.
"hundreds of kids" don't get offers
2 more things:
1) recruiting is a huge part of their jobs (which they're compensated for extremely well); and
2) you have a penchant for stating the obvious: "This staff does not put all its eggs in one basket."
It’s noteworthy because it seemed at times that the previous two staffs did just that. To be fair, maybe a couple baskets — but they seemed unable to recover if they lost on their top 1-2 targets. The current staff seems to always have another trip up their sleeve.
Groce was pretty darn good at ID-ing guys, but closing was another story. Our current staff is like a Ferrari, especially in comparison.
They grow these kids in a lab or what?
Fears made the USA U17 team that James Brown got cut from. I guess we'll see if this board does a double take on the relevance of making a Team USA or not...
This is what I'm alluding to. I doubt ZZ stays that low and Koch stays that high. 51st seems extremely high for a kid who doesn't jump off the page in any aspect of the game but IQ. could be his dad? Iowa is getting a great kid. I don't mean to sound bitter, I'm just perfectly fine with what we will bring inHighly doubt he maintains that ranking, but, nevertheless, your points are spot on.
Is this the guy from The Office that Dwight thinks is a hobbit??
