Anyone know any good breakfast or dinner spots in Champaign? Ill be there for a week beginning Sunday and I have some money to spend. Whats the breakfast spot that the staff takes recruits in to close the deal?
Saw Belo commit at the Houlihans breakfast in iHotel, wouldn't recommend the breakfast though.

Was in town last month. Am a fan of The Courier Cafe in Urbana (N. Race & W. Main) for breakfast (and/or lunch) and The Black Dog on N. Chestnut in downtown Champaign for BBQ. The latter is located in the old train passenger depot. Had a fine dinner and a few beers there. There's a Black Dog over in Urbana but it's currently closed.

Lou Henson 73
Jim Larranaga will be 73 in October
True, but Lou was 64 when the whiners drove him out at Illinois claiming that he was too old to recruit the (then) current players.

How about a Warren Carter comp for Amani Hansberry?

Sorry, boredom setting in at work and I needed a distraction. Had a difficult time finding highlights but came across this little gem:

That's like putting yourself on a list..../s
If you type “sarcasm” in the gif search you will find it. Obviously didn’t land it.

For a board like this, you do have to state the obvious. No different than the obligatory “/s” to indicate sarcasm. I was just switching the “/s” for the gif. ;)
There’s really no need to label your jokes… here or anywhere else. Those who get it will appreciate it. Those who don’t are probably the butt of the joke… and their opinions don’t matter.

I'm very likely one of the extremely pixelated Orange Krush members in this highlight somewhere. It's funny though... I don't remember college being that blurry - only a few nights here and there.

I'm not sure about the comp to Warren Carter (haven't seen enough of Hansberry to venture an opinion), but that video is worth watching just for the song...all hail The Prodigy.

That's Original Pancake House in Champaign. It gets busy, so go early.

Near Black Dog is Maize. It's got great Mexican food and I highly recommend it. Punch! in downtown Champaign in the Hyatt Place hotel has great drinks. I'd hit them up, too.

Hansberry - strong defender, rebounding machine, lives in the paint

Warren Carter was a no show till his senior year. Had good size 6'10' some nice offensive moves.

I want another James Augustine / Kenny Battle / Roger Powell / Kenny Norman

247 just had a ratings update yesterday and he's still at 127, kind of surprised considering all the articles mentioning him as someone who will be moving up.

Don't they usually make a big deal when they do large-scale reevaluations, and aren't those relatively infrequent?

This view of his ranking over time seems to indicate there's minor nudging on a fairly regular basis - not sure why. Perhaps with this most recent tweak, someone ahead of him reclassified, leaving one fewer persons ahead of him.

Agree with everything you've said. I was definitely thinking of senior year WC, as a floor. :)

Who was that guy wearing Brian Randle's uniform and making plays all over the court?! I don't remember anything like that from Brian!
