Only watched his highlights, but he's got a pretty good overall skill set, and he's physically impressive --plays BIG. Sometimes you watch kids, and you see a guy who belongs at the next level, and he's one of them. Seemed to have above average athleticism for a high major guy too. Didn't see much outside shooting, but he had a few nice mid-range shots where he pulled back from a drive. Will be happy if/when he signs.

He's a 2 way dog, like Rodgers. Does a ton of little things that impact the game. Flat out winner. Beyond that, VG physique, absolutely BIG ready (rare for a prep). Developing his shot, but don't sell it short. Love this kid.

Kelvin Sampson at IU made unauthorized phone calls to Gordon while he was a UI commit. Last minute, Gordon defects to IU. Sets us back in recruiting without a top guard , so Chet took it personal and let him know what he thought of his unethical behavior.

Perrin got a late start in the process due to the late June sigining. His first hurdle was the NCAA Clearinghouse and the then UI admissions. Whitman appears to have the admissions department in his back pocket. My source is saying August 31st for Perrin.

This cements Chester's spot in the world of DC/Baltimore recruiting. First Epps, then a strong 3 team (UNC/Nova and UI) finalist with Whitmore and now Hansberry. This will likely be the only '023 HS recruit, the balance will come out of the portal. Go Illini!!
