Gibbs-Lawhorn must really like our style of play, our staff and our development scheme. I fully get that '23 PG is up in the air right now, but if Skky bolts, Gibbs-Lawhorn is virtually a mortal lock as a take, right?

Sometimes you gotta relish these moments, considering where we were at the end of the Weber era and Groce being ill-equipped to coach in the Big Ten, Brad's tenure has been therapeutic. It all started with replacing that Ohio clown Mike Thomas with a true blooded Illini in Whitman.

One could say his name is synonymous with it.
Rita Hayworth.....the book was part of Stephen King's 4 Season's and was called Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption.

Whoops - I replied to the wrong post....sorry peeps

Not really. While the short story was entitled Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redeption, it was Raquel Welch gracing the wall of Andy’s cell when he escaped. A fantastic movie! As was Gilda.
indeed it was, by noted master horror writer himself Stephen King

4 days till Amani announces. Brad and his staff have are extending the juggernaut to 2023!

Carey Booth has 3 crystal balls to Nittany. I am surprised even though his Dad played there His Dad had nice NBA career and is GM of Denver Nuggets which probably gives his son exposure to top 10 college basketball. I would think his son would have higher aspirations than playing in NIT but maybe he was like DaMonte Williams and Rob Judson following their fathers footsteps.

Its good for us since he plays same position as Amani.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Our basketball staff is world class! An offer from Illinois basketball is becoming a very valuable commodity.

In 2024 when Mayer, TSJ and possibly Hawkins are gone to NBA our front court will be strong with Dainja 6' 9", Rogers 6'6", Hansberry 6'8" plus portal transfer

Perrin 6’10” as well and don’t forget about the potential 2024 class with Johnson already committed.

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn was extremely impressive on the EYBL circuit and showcased a complete offensive game. 37% on roughly 10 3PA per 70 possessions is elite stuff. 29-30 (97%) on free throws is another strong indicator of his shooting talent. Furthermore, he also shot 59% on 2's which is really impressive for any player, let alone a 6'0 guard. Also averaged about 5 assists per 70 playing next to a player than controlled the ball a lot in Jeremy Fears.
