Pistol Pete was my mom's favorite player, that's the reason I like basketball! You’re going way back. Lol. 10 years before Magic, there was 6-5 point guard Pete Maravich. Best ballhandler and passer in my time as a fan. Ask Larry Bird about him. Oh, and he is still college basketball’s all time leading scoring despite only getting 24 regular season games, only three seasons, no shot clock, no three point line, one free throw on common fouls. 44.5 for his career. Never played a minute at center at 6-5. Lol
Heck, Illinois’ centers in the 60s were guys like 6-10 Skip Thoren. In the 50s, all time Illini great Red Kerr was 6-10 and went on the be an NBA all star.
There was a noticeable difference in style of play in the 50s and 60s. By the mid-60s, the game was more of the modern game we know. Rick Mount, a 6-4 guard from Purdue, is still the best shooter not named Curry that I’ve seen. Any angle, any distance for him. Heck, 7-2 Kareem played college in the 60s and was still a force in the NBA when Magic, Bird and Jordan came along.
Hey I said he keeps it real….I didn’t say he was an idiot!Do you think he tells his wife the outfit makes her look fat?

You betcha!Do you think he tells his wife the outfit makes her look fat?
I guess I can appreciate that. Excited to see Skyy thrive and go pro early!! (Hopefully doesn’t mean he plans on transferring…)I’m just gonna say this TA keeps it real 24/7
Good luck to ZZ. He’ll be fine. We’ll be fine.

You seem to know something. Any more insight into this decommit? Not the appropriate GIF here
He pretty much gave it. TA likely had an honest conversation with ZZ about other guards that they are prioritizing that would be playing over him. ZZ decommitted to explore looking for other places where he can get PT.You seem to know something. Any more insight into this decommit?

Decommits are gonna happen, unless its a top 30 guy nationally I don't think we should be too worked up about it. This staff has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they know what they are doing and we are now in a much different position with recruits than in years past.

Remember when a decommitment of "this magnitude" would have turned the board into chaos? I do.
