Why didn't we recruit Ethan Kizer?
Because he's not particularly close to good enough for the Big TenWhy didn't we recruit Ethan Kizer?
Just a quick google search says he's committed to South Alabama, I think. Doesn't seem like a guy who is committed to South Alabama is a guy good enough to play at Illinois. Why didn't we recruit Ethan Kizer?
Same guy who just put up 17 on Gonzaga and is playing 35 minutes a game.
I don't think he's the best player on his high school team. But he is the best in terms of size and athleticism that makes him attractive to colleges. I figured he'd end up at Bradley, maybe Illinois State, but it sounds like the MVC level schools backed off, which is why he ended up at South Alabama.Just a quick google search says he's committed to South Alabama, I think. Not sure he's going to be ready to play as a freshman, but isn't DGL a true point guard?I hope we are recruiting a true point guard for next year, or will be scouring the portal for one. Trying to play combo guards as lead guards is a risky business and has gotten the Illini into more trouble. Even if Skyy comes back (which I highly doubt) he isn't suited for the point.
I love the guards that they have now but they are all off-guards. Even the guy they have coming in is not dynamic enough to lead a Big Ten team right away. We need help at the Point!
and he coasts on a very good high school team. doesnt even look like he's particularly ready.Because he's not particularly close to good enough for the Big Ten
