Yeah, unfortunately this seems to be the theme in DGL clips- it looks like Overtime Elite is a glorified all-star/pro-bowl style game with little to no defense being played. I'm taking all his highlights with a giant grain of salt until I start seeing otherwise. His athleticism is there, but I have a difficult time believing this league will have him prepared for college ball, and it seems like the type of ball where you're going to pick up a ton of bad habits and not many good ones. I'd expect a very long adjustment period to the college game on both ends of the floor.

You all need to temper your expectations. Morez has a long ways to go to have any impact as a freshman.
I mean, comparing him to Durant is obviously pretty silly, but it also seems pretty silly to say he has a long way to go to make an impact as a freshman EXCEPT in the sense that he is still well over a year from even graduating high school. The kid has been beast mode this year.

Right, I feel like he could be a rotation guy right now for us, from what I have seen of him. Not sure how he is still underrated.

I don't care how old a player is you don't try to show up your opponent like that.
Is he really showing up his opponents? No one was really guarding him, none of his opponents seem to be bothered

I agree with your basic premise, no one was anticipating MJ becoming the GOAT, but he stood out plenty. As a Freshman, he played a supporting role behind Worthy and Perkins, but as a Soph/Jr. he was a 2-time First Team AA and the 1984 Naismith Award winner - he was clearly the best player on his team, in his conference and in the country.
Listen to Al Maguire talk in pregame of the NCAA championship game in 82. He talks about UNC talent and then states MJ may be the best we have ever seen play the game.

One of the early talent evaluators (name slips my mind) called MJ the best HS player he’d seen since Moses Malone.
