Agreed. People get way too wrapped up in the stats w/o considering the context of the stats. A catch and shoot 3 pointer is a lot different than a pull-up or step-back. When you have the ultimate green light and are your team's #1 option, you will take a lot of shots you wouldn't take on a more talented team.
Just because you took a bunch of shots in one context doesn't mean you would in another. When you are the main guy, you are going to be less efficient than you would be as a complimentary player. Expectations are different.
If we end up with the type of depth we anticipate, anyone who takes a bad shot is going to become a spectator.
That’s the most sensible thing I’ve heard all day.

So from that announcement TSJ seems gone. I do remember Kofi's announcement after his freshman year made it seem like he wasn't going to retain eligibility so who knows.

what are people concerned about? Of course he's going to enter the draft. He's going to go through the process and see if he can make millions in the NBA, like he should. However, it is unlikely he is going to get the guarantees he wants and will more than likely be back in college. Remember the rules have changed, you can hire an agent and still pull out of the draft and return to college.

Now is the time we talk about the great depth because it always goes away once the season starts.
Great point! Injuries and unexpectedly poor play always seem to creep in. Still, I don't see anyone other than Moretti 'expecting' to sit on the bench. This year we had Lieb, an open spot, Goode's injury then Skyy's departure. If no injuries, who else would it be this year? DGL just transferred mid season because he wasn't playing.

I think it's because he didn't explicitly say he was retaining eligibility in his NBA draft post

He has until May 31st to announce he’s in the draft or coming back …
And the combine is May 14 to 21. One would imagine both will participate. (Matthew Mayer, Drew Timme and Trayce Jackson-Davis did last year).

Will that result in TSJ and Hawkins getting grades that induce them to leave?

Our insiders don't know. Our staff doesn't know. Shannon and Hawkins themselves don't know. It's not information that exists today!

The waiting is the hardest part.

Admittedly I got my hopes up he’d pull a Jordan and just say he’s back.

That being said, if given the opportunity to pursue your ultimate dream and at minimum get feedback on how to do that, who doesn’t take that opportunity?
