while im hoping for RayJ, i have to wonder how a big NIL $ deal tastes to the other top players who are
getting significantly less? particularly those who have been around and done a lot for the program. Brad
will have to deal with this, maybe not his best skill set.

Curious as to if any of the insiders know what our total pool of NIL money is? Like the number that has to be spread between all players?

And does that number change depending on who we get/comes back? For example, is the number a lot bigger if we can land RayJ and TSJ and CH come back? Or is Brad working with pretty much the same $ amount no matter what?

It would probably be an ideal fit for him from a style of play perspective. He'd be an ideal backup for Green. IMO

Hearing hes getting the bag and all the amenities that come with it.

Brad and co. understood how important this was, not just getting a + PG, but the optics of if he did indeed commit to a place like Utah for less money would be a major blow to the sack.

Unfortunately, RayJ camp knew how desperate we were as well…honestly, im not sure how legit the smoke was from the last couple days. Seems like we are going to get a PG that can set one hell of a screen.

Agreed. The other team that CH/TSJ should jump at the chance to get a G League contract with is the Heat since they turn those guys into NBA contributors seemingly all the time.

Really this isn't much different than the NBA or any other professional sports team....you have highly paid players and you as management see that you need a certain player to add to the mix....so you go out and sign that player and pay whatever you're organization is willing to pay....maybe higher than several current players on the roster. It's what winning organizations do.

It's whatever they can get boosters to commit to, which is probably quite fluid depending on the circumstances. (who?, how much?, how long?, are we winning? Does the player have any actual marketing value?) Officially, the school has no NIL money. ;) The new charade of NCAA athletics.

I know the “pool” that we kind of have … But we can always make a few calls and get more if necessary for elite level players …
