My favorite is when you are going to McDonald's, nobody in the car knows what they want and need to look at the menu like it's the first time they have been there
It's why we pull into a parking spot at any fast food restaurant and use the app. It's a lot less "pressure".

Funny. See Sinbad at McDonald's.

I have known what to order well in advance since I first visited Golden Arches in 1957 Elgin with family.

I only wish portal stars would stop looking at the menu and order.

My kingdom for a double cheeseburger. Over 1 million eaten.

Sounds great, as long as [bolded above] correlates very highly with [in an attempt to win games for the Illini]. Often last season we seemed to have guys who were trying to accomplish the first bolded statement but it had little to do with the second.

I guess that's Brad and the staff's responsiblity to make sure they align.

This is an important point, I think. Lots of people say "This is just like free agency!" but it's different (so far) in that ALL of these "free-agent" contracts are for one year (I think). So you have a whole roster of guys in "contract years" which could result in them playing their butts off, or could result in them being so focused on personal success that they (perhaps subconsciously) don't do what's best for the team.

And it's especially hard for a coach to demand sacrifices and a certain style of play, because the last thing you want is for future transfer to see you bench a big-name transfer in his one year playing for you. They won't see the context of WHY you benched him -- just that he's "not being treated well."

Pretty tricky tightrope to walk.

Can RayJ, Shannon, Hawkins decide quickly - only 1 week remaining to purchase FF tickets (really lottery) for Arizona April 6&8, 2024

Has anyone really ever talked to RayJ? People are changing how they feel about wanting or not wanting a player based on a timeline that was shared/created here. When he didn't commit at a particular date some felt that was a snub to Illinois. I'll be as happy today, if he plays for Illinois, as I would have been if he committed before anyone mentioned his name here.

I wonder if Jayden Epps could upped his salary if he had not immediately opted for Georgetown in early April.

Of course if one opts not to pursue a basketball career never hurts to have a degree from Georgetown

No, but I wish I had that for breakfast.
What does this have to do with recruiting? Take your breakfast desires to the "Food Preferences of Former Illini Students" thread. ;)

As if you don't make huge decisions based on the whims and wants of people that pretend to be working when actually they're typing insane things on a sports message board.

Coleman now....today is the day of cryptic ig stories haha.

Been hearing some buzz about him really considering coming back recently. Don't think it's a done deal yet, but some buzz has been picking up
Coleman really went for it 😂
