I'm going to take a second to be very optimistic here and let's say RayJ, Shannon, and Hawkins all commit/return. This is the offseason's overall attrition and replacements:

Skyy -> RayJ
Epps -> Harmon
RJ -> Domask
Mayer -> Guerrier
Lieb -> Amani
Perrin -> DGL

You can make a good argument that every single incoming player is better and will have more impact that the outgoing player except for the Mayer/Guerrier swap.

In other words, with this roster improvement combined with the fact that all of our returning players will probably have improved a decent amount, if things happen to go our way with these 3 guys, we are looking really good next year. Even if its a different pg than RayJ, it is significant improvement across the board.

I’ve never seen a skyline like that in Paducah. Is that Paducah, Mexico?

Almost all of the things you mentioned are outside of SLC. I was commenting on “the city itself” while also jokingly stating that maybe RayJ has an outdoorsy hobby (the main reason ppl move to SLC) that is worth a lot to him. I don’t think we really disagree here
Yeah, but do they have miles and miles of cornfields?
They sure don't. Those cornfields are moneymaker

I've been on the course this morning and see we are on page 10. But I'm guessing nothing has changed and Pru and the NLs are in full force......

Illinois to RayJ the last 24 hours
This is where I'd take the Jay Wright path and not deal with this crap. If we're already the top bidder, why are we offering more?

I'd say kid, go live in Utah. Go play for an unknown coach. Go play in a weaker conference that you'll be middle of the pack at best in, go play in an arena where they have to curtain off the upper bowl seats because the attendance is so low. Utah averages under 6,000 people in a 15,000 seat arena. Go play there at midnight with no one watching you. This is our offer, and this is all the offer will be. If you think that is a better situation for you go for it.

Then I'd be backchanneling these guys that haven't entered the portal yet and offer up what we've told RayJ to them. If they accept, I'd give him a call and say too late kid.

This may be just our first exposure to this type of negotiation, but this is just stupid. The kid will be here one year. So is every penny we give him basically a Big Ten title or bust? Sweet 16 or bust? If not, do donors start saying this is a waste of my money?
