I don't think anyone knows the exact context or prerequisites here for the three players and the final decisions until they happen.
The sources here feel like things are looking good which is great.
All we can do is hope they go that way.

This thread seems to reach the most interested Illini fans...of any sport...so I will give a heads up.

The Illini men's golf team has finished their second round of the NCAA stroke play
portion of the national championship. At the moment, they lead the field at 2 under par...a stroke ahead of Georgia Tech. But the second half of the field has just started and there is a long road ahead. Nevertheless, today they shot the tournament's lowest round at 7 under after a relatively slow start at 5 over. Adrian whats-his-name shot his second consecutive 68 to currently be in a tie for 2nd. Good to see Mike's guys at the top of the list...for the moment. Bet RayJ couldn't do that.

P.S. Georgia Tech just made a bogey (as I typed) and are at even par giving the Illini a 2 stroke lead on the field. For the few not aware, if any, you can track the scoring in live time at Golfstat.com.

We've been a top 30 defense each of the past 3 years and was 35 in 2020. Several great NBA defenses play drop. It definitely has flaws but so does any other defensive system. If you have the personnel it's not necessarily a bad defense to run.
