That's not what I meant by what I said, and if it came across that way, that's my bad. All I meant was Harmon could look elsewhere if another guard is brought in. They won't force him out
If we land the big 3… that’s all of our scholies though? So how do we take Reeves going over the scholarship limit without making Harmon think we’re pushing him out? And FWIW, I wouldn’t mind if the staff passed on making a push on Reeves if the big 3 come… They recruited Harmon, he’s a good player, he wants to be here…

Don't like the sound of this. A kid decides to transfer, picks Illinois, and then gets shown the door before even suiting up. Not a good look for a program.
you mean the kid who played us with 4 other teams and could have made his mind up a month ago? that kid? this is big business
and you get yours or you get left behind.

Has he officially signed? Would he be able to just go someplace else next year if that happened?

I just don't see Brad doing this. He would not have recruited Justin Harmon if he did not think he was good enough to play for Illini. Plus he has 2 years of eligibility at a position (guard) where we are very thin and young.

JMO but it is premature to assume either or both TSJ or Coleman return. Sometimes you are just done with college. TSJ has played 4 years of P5 basketball. He is good enough to play overseas. Coleman has more to prove in college but no guarantee he will choose to do so. He may bet on himself to make an NBA roster as an undrafted free agent - see Kendrick Nunn /Miami Heat (via g-league).
It's not a problem till it is one...is my mantra....BU knows math...
