Baylor has been better than Illinois for what?.... about a decade, with a National Title and a National title coach. Keyonte George is going to be a Top 10 pick in this draft. They have more players in the NBA. Their conference has been better. Insiders tell me this does still matter to some players. Nobody besides Illinois fans are shrugging a shoulder that a player picked Baylor over Illinois.

@indy fair to assume it’s less RayJ being such a phenomenal player and more so the fact that Brad had every opportunity to have a back up, a buck up for the back up, and another back up… and was too stubborn to take action in case this scenario played out? That’s kind of how I’m reading and hearing it. Has less to do with RayJ as a player & more to do with wasting everyone else’s time/resources etc…. Even if we get a sub-par point guard, we have the depth & talent to still be pretty competitive if not pretty good. But Josh & boosters/Guardians are sick of this, especially so consistently with PG’s. Am I on?

I think after we offered Rayj the keys after his visit and he balked and wanted to take more visits it was time to move on. While he is a very good point gaurd, he has a score first pass second mentality. With TSJ and Hawkins coming back he was not as good as fit anymore. We will have plenty of scoring and shooters without him. We need a pg that has good handles and a good distributor that shoots well enough to keep them honest. More of a team guy than a me guy.
