He's a fine depth piece. Is he ready to step in and play point guard? If not, nothing has changed for the upcoming season.Lol some of y'all man. Yeah he's coming off of an injury, but he was one of the best on ball defensive players in the country and is a good ball handler. Big guard that can pass it
And lots of players have come back and had little to no issue after it.I’m cautiously optimistic and like his game, but you can’t blame folks for being nervous about this one — Achilles is about as bad as it gets, injury-wise.
Unless he’s okay not playing for multiple years, moretti is like 5th string right now.In what way does a person currently on the roster leave and open up a scholarship within it being a bad look?
The closest thing we’ve had to a true point on this team since skyy left. And if I’m not mistaken the staff really wanted him last season (prior to injury I know). Is it?
The era of the "bad look" is essentially over in college basketball. The only people who care anymore are we irrelevant fans.In what way does a person currently on the roster leave and open up a scholarship within it being a bad look?

He fits the criteria for it, if he wants it he should have it.Does he get #25?
I read the injury occurred in October so depending on what part of October its been a little longer than thatI like Williams pre-injury but ummmm.. Achilles is a little concerning considering its only been like 6 months post injury (I believe?) and were in need of an immediate veteran pg. Ideally, he'd be further along the injury timeline or would not be the only high major veteran pg with experience on the roster so we could ease him along.
The second RayJ took another visit … I’m calling Caleb Love …
But that’s just how I would handle it …
I get passing on Cone and Sallis because waiting on RayJ makes sense when those guys committed early but when Love opened back up … We should have pursued …
For now...
I get that but I feel like if he transfers it's gonna look like a crean situation which is bad optics IMO..Unless he’s okay not playing for multiple years, moretti is like 5th string right now.
Ok, so like 7 or 8 months? Splitting hairs imo at that point. I like him, but getting over a mental hurdle from that type of injury takes much longer than just the physical recovery timeI read the injury occurred in October so depending on what part of October its been a little longer than that
I am pretty sure it wasWas that not our last available scholarship?
Lol come on dude… like this isn’t a good player. Can we just be realistic here. He’s on his third school for a reason. He can’t shoot. Coming off an injury. This is blah.Lol some of y'all man. Yeah he's coming off of an injury, but he was one of the best on ball defensive players in the country and is a good ball handler. Big guard that can pass it
I've seen Crean's name come up with this, can someone refresh my memory with that?I get that but I feel like if he transfers it's gonna look like a crean situation which is bad optics IMO..
I guess he could "decide" to go back overseas
Practices should be entertaining.Guard: Sincere Harris, Jeremiah Williams, Justin Harmon, Niccolo Moretti, Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn
Wing: Terrence Shannon, Ty Rodgers, Luke Goode, Marcus Domask
Big: Coleman Hawkins, Dain Dainja, Quincy Guerrier, Amani Hansberry
Was that not our last scholarship per Werner’s scholarship tracker?Illinois is not done yet. I expect them to add another guard
