Were the insiders confident in RayJ Dennis or were they confident in Shannon and Hawkins returning? Early in the process it looked like Dennis to Illinois was a sure thing but it's been murky for awhile now.

Can't grads transfer whenever they want and don't need to adhere to transfer portal dates?

I believe it's been stated we have options in the Grad transfer arena.........not sure they will be in the regular transfer portal , but i have been wrong numerous times before...........JMHO

Like me, he trends more WKRP in Cincinnati and Barney Miller, with a nostalgic dash of the original Bob Newhart Show, Mary Tyler Moore, and All in the Family. My goodness, Matlock is so late '80s. Might as well toss in Murder She Wrote.

Now, My So Called Life and Thirtysomething... that's really the edge of the envelope, space age stuff. I'm still waiting for those to be made available on my Palm Pilot.

Don’t take my post so literal. It just feels like one of the recruitments of old that we lose out on is all. The type of recruitment it has turned into does not remind me of our recent successes, which have been more straight forward and less drama.

Coleman is legit one of the funniest athletes I can remember on an Illini team. I absolutely love that guy, and I'm ecstatic that we get another year of Shannon and him. I'm not just saying this, but by the end of last season these were probably my two favorite players (specifically after Coleman's postgame interview following the Arkansas loss ... his heart really showed there ). I absolutely love other players like Rogers, don't get me wrong ... but I'll savor every moment I get to watch these two play hoops for us this year!

I agree…and I have no reason to believe that. But to be fair…MM has a track record of not exactly having a completely rational thought process. I mean who knows? Anything is possible with that dude. Lol.

There were a lot of 3 boom gifs posted. I believe Lville started hedging saying it was a toss up more recently, but even yesterday there was scoffing at the Baylor buzz from other insiders. Certainly appreciate all of the tidbits we get from insiders and not doubting their sources, but seems like this recruitment had a lot of conflicting info out there and certain insiders were only sharing the orange kool-aid view
