We most certainly are not at the PG position
Even picking up mulcahy we are worse off there than with Epps.

Only if we don't get him. Then Harmon's a point guard and Williams is healthy. Until then we desperately need a PG.Surprised we weren't literally the 1st team reaching out. Does the staff think we have good/better options at PG?
Count me among those who don't want a bush league player on the Illini. Never forget!Count me among the people who are optimistic. Seems like the only reason you make this move is to have a memorable season at your final destination. We've got a lot to offer there. I do think he makes us preseason top 10. Notre Dame doesn't have that.

Any idea what he's looking for? Coaching opportunities? Alumni connections/non-athletics-related profession? Straight $$? Other?“Which school best sets me up for life after basketball?” will play a large role here.

There is some significant buzz that I have heard regarding Illinois. ND is a major player as well...but we are right there
That makes zero sense. On Torvik, adding Mulcahy and removing Harmon drops us from 36 to 40th in the country.
Even if you don't remove Harmon, adding only Mulcahy also drops us to 40th.
Not sure what to take from this

Is it better or worse than most of my complaints are about ridiculous comments our fans make rather than about our basketball program?Don't you worry, if he comes here there will still be things you can find to complain about.
What you should take is that positional balance is hard to bake into a statistical model. It's a dramatically better team with a shooter/facilitator true PG.On Torvik, adding Mulcahy and removing Harmon drops us from 36 to 40th in the country.

I just graduated Communication, you get me in contact with Paul and I can put in a good wordWith his Masters in Communication and Media, which school has the best program in that area?

No way in a million years. About as good as having slime on shoes Sean Miller being the head ball coach. There are lines we should never cross. hard pass on a rival suiting up in our Orange. No Way!
Good talk. See you out there.
Dump the number because it's flawed. Our PG situation was not good last year. Epps played matador defense and his decision making, especially late in games, was atrocious. To be fair, he was a freshman. On Torvik, adding Mulcahy and removing Harmon drops us from 36 to 40th in the country.

WTF?Even picking up mulcahy we are worse off there than with Epps.
This would only be true if we measure our point guard solely on his ability to score off the dribble, and put zero value on passing, defense, rebounding, knowledge of the offense, coachability, team chemistry, experience, or field goal percentage.Even picking up mulcahy we are worse off there than with Epps.

Epps was promising early. Until he wasn't. I still marvel at the chutzpah of a true-frosh guard assigned to PG refusing to run the plays the coach calls. SMH. I recall the Maryland game Dec 2nd when BU gave him the deciding shot (missed) from three in front of his family. From that vote of confidence to the sideline ugliness in Bloomington in Feb.This would only be true if we measure our point guard solely on his ability to score off the dribble, and put zero value on passing, defense, rebounding, knowledge of the offense, coachability, team chemistry, experience, or field goal percentage.
Other than that, good post.
