The options have become smaller and smaller(if any), so the issue is getting bigger and bigger. In April, we were all going to be happy with our PG situation. Now, it's looking like we're rolling with what we have and those options, if I'm being diplomatic....are very concerning.

We missed on a transfer that by all accounts was pretty much a lock, while waiting around for him to visit 2-3 competing programs for 2-3 weeks as other point guard transfers committed elsewhere. Just reading through this thread we have learned the alternative potential transfer starting PG may be involved in an illegal gambling investigation, further complicating his already tenuous eligibility for the coming season. He is also coming off probably the most serious basketball injury that ended his last season. We have dozens of posts (mostly advocating) debating starting a second year player who to my knowledge has no real experience playing point at any time in his playing career, and last year was one of our best players under the basket. Given that the point guard position is demonstrably the most important position for a team's post season potential, as well as our struggles with the position last season, it continues to become a larger issue than it already was, IMO.
Man, if that's true......this has gone from an off-season miss on a critical position to borderline mismanagement. That's FAR more concerning. Whiffing on recruits happen. It sucks, but it happens. Not doing your homework on a guy....that's a whole different discussion. Let's see how it unfolds. No need to speculate at this point.

It's a results-based business. Categorizing the upcoming season as a debacle before a game is even played seems a bit much. BU will be judged on the results, not on pre-season speculation. The team has a ton of experience and talent. Who knows? Maybe they figure out how to make it work...
JW will be paying attention.
