I really don’t find the board all that negative (well, except for the game threads too often). Sure some go over the top at times, but I just scroll through those. All the posts on a former player with a Z in his name are more bothersome. And not sure why, but the posts where the posters feel the need to list all the players/positional breakdown whenever they post about the team drive me nuts. We know who are on the team.
Going to have misses in recruiting. Can’t get them all. And some of those misses could have a negative impact on team. Tough for some people to move on especially during a slow news time.

Lol. This board is generally considered a very very pro Illini and pro staff board and there is quite a bit of moderation.
I feel like people just equate negativity with any opinion that disagrees with them lol.

I once fielded a fantasy football team using only players named Smith, Jones, Johnson, or Williams.

Or having somewhat realistic expectations for younger players or any player for that matter as it pertains to the NBA. We have had a few guys that were no doubt NBA guys before that have played in the league a while. It was pretty obvious when we had those guys but it gets tossed around a lot as if it's likely.
As far as next season goes I am very optimistic. I personally have high expectations TSJ and Hawk but also for Domask, Dain and QG in that order. I think those three are proven and if Williams and Goode are healthy we will be fine. It certainly is nice to have someone like Ty who can play nearly anywhere he is needed. Its nice to see players get better on the court with experience. No doubt Ty and others have potential to be very good but I also live who we have brought in for next season to provide leadership and skill as 1st and 2nd year guys develop and adjust. We didn't have that last season. That isn't being negative imo. It is the truth and a positive heading into next season
Plus we may not even be done yet. Hell Arizona added a player today.

For one of the few top 15 historically successful programs yet to win a national championship, and given the numerous examples of shall I say "bad luck" the program has endured over the past 40 years, I would say the fanbase is extraordinarily positive. And this board, in particular, is very positive compared to many fan forums. At least many I have visited.
I won’t believe this board is too negative until I see a crowdfunded billboard that say Brad should be fired.
