Well…there’s coaching changes, and then there’s coaching changes after public bigotry, substance abuse, & criminal activity…That's interesting, after earlier reports they would no longer grant waivers for coaching changes.
I wonder if they get to keep NIL money..
.
Do Texas players get a special portal too?Well…there’s coaching changes, and then there’s coaching changes after public bigotry, substance abuse, & criminal activity…
This. The rules are just suggestions. It's like soccer refs and BT basketball officiating. When has the NCAA ever meant what it said and said what it meant?
A front court consisting of him and Amani is going to be absolutely disgusting.
deep 2 and a 3: seems like his shot is improving
They are more like guidelines.This. The rules are just suggestions. It's like soccer refs and BT basketball officiating.
You worry about everything. This isn't church league. If Rothstein is correct; sounds like they are punishing UVA for not firing Huggins after the bigoted jokes.
Meanwhile, it could set a terrible precedent.
PGIs Kerr a PG or CG?
I don't know. Honestly I think all players should get a free transfer if the coach they committed to gets fired or leaves. If Rothstein is correct; sounds like they are punishing UVA for not firing Huggins after the bigoted jokes.

The list of "What's New" in Rothenstein's tweet is for everyone, student athletes at any school will have an extra 30 days to enter the portal after a coaching change. And don't forget that entering the portal is one step, getting a waiver or immediate eligibility to play is a second step that may or may not happenIf Rothstein is correct; sounds like they are punishing UVA for not firing Huggins after the bigoted jokes.

Hopefully BU and staff learned their lesson last year. Krisa is an Matty “Monster” Mayer waiting to happen. Hard pass….Kerr Krisa 6-3 PG plays heavy minutes.. 30+ mjn/game. 10 pt, 5 asst, 37% 3pt%.
I think he will seek his release and don't see how the school/NCAA can deny it.
He averaged 5 assists per game and 8 shot attempts per game… definitely not a Matt Mayer and definitely a distributor.Hopefully BU and staff learned their lesson last year. Krisa is an Matty “Monster” Mayer waiting to happen. Hard pass….
Give me a PG geared toward distributing and WINNING.
There has to be one out there somewhere!!
He did lead the pac 12 in assists in back to back seasons. I do agree that he can shoot a bit much sometimes but he is a good spot up shooter.Hopefully BU and staff learned their lesson last year. Krisa is an Matty “Monster” Mayer waiting to happen. Hard pass….

Seriously. If I told you we could add a 6'3", 190-pound point guard. He averaged 5.1 assists/per to 2.6 turnovers. He shoots 36.6% from 3. Shoots 76.7% from the line. And he played high-major ball for a team that was 28-7 last year. Who looks at our roster and actually says no to that? I get it, the body language experts on this board are going to hate him, but man, the guy would fill a massive hole. I don't want to see this team crumble when it counts because we don't have a facilitator. At this point, we need to be taking pie if pie is being passed. He averaged 5 assists per game and 8 shot attempts per game… definitely not a Matt Mayer and definitely a distributor.
I live in Kansas. Bucknell Bill and Bradley Bill and “let’s hope we don’t play a school that begins with B” we’re common phrases. A large portion of the fan base wanted him fired. More people wanted him gone than wanted him to stay.I'm sure your memory of 15 years ago is spot on.
I think two issues are being conflated here. As I read the rules:That's interesting, after earlier reports they would no longer grant waivers for coaching changes.
I wonder if they get to keep NIL money.
Evidently, this just gives players who haven't previously transferred an extra 30 days. 2nd time transfers aren't getting a special fired coach waiver.I don't know. Honestly I think all players should get a free transfer if the coach they committed to gets fired or leaves.
Players only get 4 years to play(without the bonus covid year) and most won't sniff playing professionally. They should be able to play for a coach that wants them or a system that fits their play style.
I think you nailed it.I think two issues are being conflated here. As I read the rules:
1) Players have 30 days to enter a special transfer portal if their head coach changes.
2) Players will not be given a free transfer due to the coaching change.
Combined, this seems to say that when a head coaching change occurs, players who have not previously used their free transfer are free to transfer and play immediately. Those who have already used their free transfer would need to sit.
I could be wrong.
If you fire BU, you basically fire his assistants. They aren't returning under a new coach. Frazier and Anderson have enormous ties to critical recruiting areas and contacts(especially Anderson). That automatically sets you back for a period of time. Then, if you're a prospective coach and you know that you're job could be in jeopardy, regardless of regular season success....what's the lure of being here?I ignored you after this comment so I won't see your reply I guess but how would firing BU put us back to Groce era? You really think a Groce level coach is the best Josh could do as a replacement? Have you been paying attention to the other coaches he's hired? I am not arguing for firing BU but to say firing him sets us back that far is laughable. Yes, this is my first post, so flame away.
In an ideal timeline. Chalmers doesn't hit that shot against Memphis. Self gets stupidly let go after UNI loss and returns to Illinois.I live in Kansas. Self shows how hard it is to win in the tournament. He’s clearly the best coach in college hoops and he’s out early pretty often. In an ideal timeline. Chalmers doesn't hit that shot against Memphis. Self gets stupidly let go after UNI loss and returns to Illinois.
