He would ride the pine here … He’s not Big Ten material …

Is that not Lieb 2.0 ? I got no problem with Lieb … He did his class work … Stayed out of trouble … But he was a glorified PWO … Just like this kid would be …
Honestly that doesn't sound like a problem to have.... no team runs 12-13 deep. Having good student athletes at the end of the bench that won't cause trouble is a good thing imo

So if Brad refuses to reach out to Kerr and the PG experiment with Ty doesn't work... sounds like the seat will be more than just a little warm at the end of the season unless we make the second weekend. Not sure why he wouldn't just swallow his pride on this one
Two things:

The player has not reopened his recruitment, and BU doesn't have any openings.

Yes, I know coaches can take too many commitments and sort it out later. The old rule was they could be over when fall classes started, but had to have a plan to be down to 13 by the beginning of practice.

That said, my observation is BU has not done that. He has even left vacant rides for contingencies. Perhaps he prefers to see what happens with Williams and Harmon?

BTW, anyone, who is PM?

Why does everyone assume KK is even interested?

Pretty solid list …

For those that are film junkies … You’d know who called the offense last year … If you want to call it offense …

Every. Single. Year. We have had to scrap this “offense” we are trying to run and go to something else mid year … I’m getting real tired of that …

Went to ball screen with Kofi and Ayo and went to spread last year mid year when we spent the entire off season trying to install an offense that was not going to work and everyone seemed to know except the certain people trying to install it …
That's kind of why I think Gentry was the straw that stirred Underwood's drink. UI's offense was best with Gentry on staff even though it seemed like Chin and OA disliked him

Not even attempting to get Kriisa would be well beyond baffling. *Choosing* to enter the season with your PG options boiling down to a wing, a small freshman, and an injured guy with about 75 non-injury question marks is just silly. No way around it.

Again, what a waste of a bonus year from Hawkins and Shannon.
You don't even know who they have tried to get. They can't contact Krissa unless he enters the portal .Those two players knew the situation when they came back.

I know that the insiders have been pretty clear that Underwood, to this point, has no intention of pursuing Kriisa, so that's bad.

Given the timing of Dennis' announcement and Illinois' confidence the night before (the same night Shannon and Hawkins returned, as I recall), I suspect both those guys expected that Dennis would be joining them. That flopped, and if Underwood won't even try to go after the only good, experienced option left in the portal--or soon to be in the portal, rather--that's bad.

Yes he did … Mizzou PWO (his Mom, Uncle and Aunt all played at Mizzou) then he transferred to Santa Clara (played with Podz last year) … and is now on scholarship at Kansas where his little brother played who now plays for the Nuggets … He just won CBB and NBA championships in back to back years … Not a bad deal there …
And he won back to back state championships before heading to Kansas. Sheesh.

We ask for kids to have loyalty when coaches don’t have any to the players. Underwood flirts with other jobs every offseason and left OKSU after 1 year. Assistant coaches go to the highest bidder. Kids will commit then back out. It’s all a business now.

Looks like I missed a happenin’ day on here…

How the PG conundrum has been handled this offseason is, as I’ve said before, an absolute failure. It is nearly impossible to fathom how BU and co. didn’t do everything in their power to bring in a stud PG after whatever the hell last season was, especially considering the $ and resources they have at their disposal. Not only did they not do that, but they didn’t bring in a capable/eligible PG for this season-period.

Once Kriisa is officially available, going to be hard to stomach yet another extremely capable PG end up somewhere else. Brad is scarred by last year’s debacle, but at this point the positives Kriisa would bring farrrrr outweigh any “negatives”-in the eyes of just about everyone but the boss. But what do we know I suppose.

I am as big of a Ty fan as much as the next guy on here, but the fact that he is going to be the PG of this team is utterly inexcusable.

Is this team more experienced and deeper than last year’s team (on paper)? Sure. But do I foresee much of a different outcome next March? I do not.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over yadda yadda…

Hate to bring down the vibes but that’s just how I see it. Rant over. Gotta go grab the headband out of the wash-in case it’s needed for spot minutes at the 1 this winter.

Even the insiders don't totally know what Underwood is doing. I believe if Krissa hits the portal the tune will change. Very few of the rumors on this site come true.

Am I missing something here. We have 13 scholarship kids this year that are signed. Are we not contractually obligated to them at this point? Doesn't BU have to have a volunteer to leave or some other reason to pull a scholarship to give to another player? Everyone wants BU to go after someone else, but can he do that presently?
Williams has legal problems and Harmon has to get academically qualified, so there is some chance there will be an open slot. But at present I don't think BU can offer anyone a ride, or am I wrong?
Is Williams officially signed? Illinois hasn't announced anything that I'm aware of.

This kid and entire family is a BIG pass for me …

Jeremiah was heading to Sunrise … Now all of a sudden is heading out to Compa$$ prep … I’ve seen this story way too many times … Kid is talented but not talented enough to deal with the headache … At least for me …
I wouldn't think he and his family chasing $'s in this day and age would be a disqualifier or is there more? I mean if he were a senior in HS, he and his family would be doing the prudent thing when looking at colleges (NIL). If you can get the gravy train rolling earlier, more power to them.

Free agency sucks and that’s the reason college sports sucks free agency for coaches and players makes college sports a really crappy pro league

Is there any hope that the staff reaches out to KK once he officially enters the portal?
