I like Toussaint a lot. Good option with Ty, and get DGL ready for bigger role next year.

You gotta admit... if Brad does stick to the Kerr turndown and rides with Ty and it works out that changes the narrative quite a bit. High risk High reward type move.
How do we know he's not? Just because a scholarship is open, it doesn't mean we'll use it. BU likes to have one in his back pocket for mid season transfers. I know there's a lot of nuance behind the scenes with things we don't see, but Brad seems like a smart guy. The PG position is an obvious need to even the average Illini fan. Whether it seems desperate or not i would be using every tool in my tool belt, every penny of NIL money to find a serviceable point guard.
I know Williams wasn't the answer, but there I something to be said about the optics of this PG fiasco.

Underwood not going after a PG like Krissa could not be defended. He obviously thought we needed a top PG or we never would have gone after RayJ. To ignore a need like that now would make no sense. They knew what Ty was already so its not like they planned on giving him the PG job then. Have a handful of practices changed their minds to the point they don't pursue a top available PG when we have a senior laden team looking to make a run? If so Underwood probably needs to go. I like him, but it would reveal an ignorance of roster construction that I don't think we come back from.

Never a Toussaint fan. At Iowa always wanted him to play against Illinois. Considering our roster - he seems to be good fit. All things considered, he would now look great in Orange & Blue and I will have to bite my tongue.

If Harmon doesn't make it to campus, we aren't rolling into the season with two open scholarships. Something has to give here. Someone with actual point guard experience needs to be walking through that door. Also, frankly, it's madness that we didn't do our due diligence to know if either of these two could even make it to campus. I try to stay positive when it comes to our roster, but man...
