Ked is a good guy. Huge homer though.
I do think DGL can play and contribute now.
Would be great to get him more minutes this year as season goes along and he stays.
Sorry I have an opinion about a guy I have seen play about 50 times.

Most freshman on decent teams need a year to acclimate to high level college ball, problem is if they don't get serious minutes they are likely to transfer these days. Glad I don't have to deal with those problems, but I guess that's why BU makes more than I do.
It's a different world now.

People didn’t think Sencire would get any time last year and seem to be of the same opinion this year. Not one of those believers. Great athletic who puts in the work. My memory from last year is he did not try to dribble past defenders but passed the ball down court. TJ turned the ball over trying to dribble past defenders. Not willing to hang him out to dry with 20 total free throws. Obviously made frosh errors in trying to dunk when contested. A mistake he won’t make this year. Don’t think he is a starter but will make a contribution.
Also believe people are underselling Hansberry. He is Ty with more size who can shoot. There is a reason he was pursued so hard and it wasn’t to hold the bench to the floor.

I believe you're thinking of Perkins. Toussaint was already at West Virginia last year.
While that’s good to hear, there’s a massive difference between surprising fans and being a Big 10 starting PG

That is very true. But we've seen some Freshmen ready right out og the box. Dee and Deron, for example. Lets hope DGL goes against the odds and plays like Frank Williams.... Although Frank was technically a redshirt Freshman
When you saw him in high school did he shoot 20% from the line and 32% from 3 like last year?

I was referring to Toussaint who I have watched for years.
Not sure what to think about Harris who was a high D1 4 Star recruit who shot 20% from the line.
Just did not seem in the range of possibility.
But we had two 4 stars who inexplicably could not shoot free throws at all.
Sorry, really lost track of that thread.
Harris's line on offense just screams throw it out and start from scratch.

I finally decided to watch some HS tape on DGL. From a distance, I tend to agree with Ked. Handles looked exceptionally strong. Great confidence. Long range shooter. And he has the ability to get into the paint.
Anxious to see how all of that HS ability translates to the Big 10.
He sure looks like he has a lot of game and athleticism. Hope he gets some time this year.
Nice to see Phoenix Gill breaking out, his games in the state finals against Simeon is pretty impressive. Simeon had a nice team last year and Gill was pretty good against them.
