Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’m excited about Ty possibly running the point. The kid is a winner. He has intangibles that can’t be taught. I think he will find a way to get it done.

Me, too. I watched a few of his games playing for that super all-star team last year and what stood out to me was his ability to initiate offense with above average handles and passing for his higher scoring team mates, then quickly get into great position for put-backs.
He really seemed to enjoy it when he made a nice pass that resulted in someone else scoring.
And his D was excellent
Hope we see a lot of that this season assuming we don't get a vet PG.

It was smart to keep the assistant coach on for this reason alone.
The part I want to know is, how do we know when he's saying they're actually elite in practice and not just saying they're elite ?
Not sure it will be fighting, but BU is going to be relentlessly beaten down on this board until November, when we'll see how this plays out in live action.
Eh he is likely a lame duck coach. Sure it helps this season but they are likely going to fall flat recruiting without a long term answer

I like the roster overall.
If they can get buy in and culture of toughness and effort they could be pretty good.
I don’t think it is his opinion. The author doesn’t quote a coach or note a source so it’s his speculation that was the case.
This dude doesn’t even write for the University of Arizona, notes that he’s a sports writer, political writer, and tennis commentator, and if you read any of his stuff on Trojan Wire, you can clearly see that he’s not an investigative journalist.

It certainly allows us to put 5 extremely solid players on the floor at the same time. Whether the offense flows is the big question. No way to know until the games begin.
