This. I find the ignore feature somewhat beta-ish

You talking about me...?

I say post away. It’s a free message board and you are free to post whatever you would like. It’s up to others that if they don’t like it, they can choose to ignore it. And if they don’t want to ignore it and instead just want to complain and gripe, then the rest of us will just use the ignore button on them. It’s a magical feature.
This is a sports forum. I always assumed Pru's pics were simply recruiting targets for the Illini Beach Volleyball team. Nothing nefarious there.

Tis the sign of the times.... We all just can't seem to get along anymore..
Nah, I think the pics and stuff picked up lately. I don't remember the bathing suit stuff being prominent until recently but could be me.

End of the day it's up to Dan and how he wants to approach users and ad rev. If you don't like it, there are other boards that are actually a bit more toxic from what I recall.

Let's just get to the Sweet 16 and have a January bowl game and everything will be fine.

Sure. And disconnecting from those with differing opinions is a big part of how we got ourselves here.

We're all (presumably) Illini fans here. We have a really obvious common ground.
Oh, that there was anyone here who actually shared my opinions. What a grand time we would have!

As an ignorer, i have never ignored anyone over a difference of opinion or straying from the topic.

How you state your opinion, how (and, sadly, if) you support your opinion, how you take criticism, how often you post your opinion... These are some of the factors that I personally take into consideration. I can't remember ever ignoring someone based on one post, and will usually look at someone's post history before passing final judgment. I save oodles of time not having to read ignored posts, and use that time reading posts that are well-thought, impassioned pleas to avoid the siloing so common in American media consumption today.

You are what you eat.

Surprised Perrin is playing this well. He was slow-footed, out of shape, and not much of a shooter during his short stay at Illinois.

Does any insider have any information on why Perrin left? He was tweeting about the program then left like two days later.

He played professionally in France first, came here and spent a semester at an academy(assuming enrollment issue), before getting to campus. Then just promptly left to go back to playing professionally in France.

Was it just a case of homesickness? Didn't adjust well to the US or school? Better offer overseas or just really hated his time here?

IIRC, there was word he thought he would or should see the floor more immediately than was realistic.

He went pro, not like there was much we could do about it. Donors aren't going to whip out the big money for a kid they know nothing about.
Eh. He came here and never played. Well I guess he did get a minute once?

He came here with a little hype and then supposedly was surprised when he didn’t see the court.
