I get it. But they like Butler a lot. Think he should be ranked higher than he isCan't wait to read this thread when we take a 3 star over a 4 star lol
Edit: I failed to read the part where we may take both

He can shoot the ball really well. May not be as athletic as Lewis, but I think he scores just as well if not betterReminds me of Matt Bradley of SDSU.
Mikey Lewis was the leading scorer at the last EYBL at 25.3 ppg, Butler doesnt have a single high major offer. Is this preemptive cope of missing Lewis and settling on our plan B?He can shoot the ball really well. May not be as athletic as Lewis, but I think he scores just as well if not better
Jase committing in early october. Did Mikey cancel his LSU visit? Ole Miss and good ol Chris Beard also had a visit lined up.First come first serve…..Jase is committing sooner than Mikey

Looking for the GIF of why don’t we have both.I don't think you can ever have enough good guards so let's get both.
The only stats I could find of Butler's in that tournament is him scoring 7 points on 25% shooting vs. lesser competition.they're both excellent shooters. Lewis has proven it on the biggest AAU stage (EYBL), but Butler shined too (SSB/Adidas). Butler's shooting lines (2FG%, 3FG%) are routinely VVG and he's virtually automatic from the line.

Illinois has been short (quantity) of good shooters for way too long. I say take them both. For comparison - are they as good as distance shooter as the Bloomington Central Catholic kid who is going to Notre Dame?they're both excellent shooters. I think the sentiment from the insiders is that they will be taking both.is there any chance that they take both? I just don't like the idea of turning Lewis away for a guy who doesn't have a single other HM offer.

Was reading some Sparty article on predictions and they were talking about Dainja and the quote was "if Illinois could ever manage to field a team with 3+ shooters on the floor at once...etc". Minus that 21'/22' team, they have a pointIllinois has been short (quantity) of good shooters for way too long. I say take them both.
