I don’t often get to comment on guys Illinois is recruiting due to living in NC. However, I have seen this kid play several times as a freshman. He is as good as advertised! Saw a team last year play a box and 1 and then a triangle and 2 in order to contain him offensively. He also plays with a chip on his shoulder.
So as my friend, Torpedo, used to say, "He's a one-reeler.":)

Was curious and looked up Hawkins rating on 247. He was 168. Jason Jakstys is 157. Similar development would be pretty good.

Looking forward to next year to see how underwood manages time for everyone. I hope that Harris, DGL, Hansberry, Moretti, Dain(if he stays) and Morez are all able to get some real tick… and be a good team. I know we will likely bring in several transfers, but young players also have to be watching to see if the development guys ever get to the point where they get to contribute.

Maybe that's a sign of our credibility being raised on the national scene...

How many kids can you convince to stay around long enough to improve, regardless of how long that takes?

Arizona fans seem really unhappy with Boswell's recent performances. I know he was mocked 1st round before the season but his stock seems to have fallen off a bit. Return to Champaign?

It's almost like I talked about this all off season ... Love took like 30 shots yesterday ... Bradley wants more minutes ...

Something's got to give ...

I was at the Highland Shootout and came away very impressed with Vince Dawson III, coaches son, that plays for Great Crossing in Georgetown, KY. Decent handles for 6'6" and very nice form on his jumper. Any insight on his recruitment?

My concern is Michigan. Fears has them in his final five despite their awful coaching. If juwan gets fired and Michigan brings in a new coach with a good sales job they have a shot at Fears.
Would be very surprising to choose your brother's school's biggest rival. Not saying it wouldn't happen of course -- he listed it in his top 5 -- but it would definitely make for some interesting (and definitely over the top) storylines.
