Morez is a man among boys. Announcers: “No answer. How do you defend him? You don’t let him touch the basketball…I’ve always been impressed when I watched Morez play.”
21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals

Morez a man among boys in HS. Probably needs a while to adjust to B1G play. With an offseason with Fletch and going against the likes of Dain and Hansberry, he should be good to go.

Not sure with today's unrestricted portal why any player would consider reclassing to get to college early. Any team without experience in the position that an early entry freshman would play is almost certainly going to go to the portal for another player at that position. You get to school early, you get the benefit of weight training and practice with better players but, unless you are an extremely exceptional player, you are almost certainly going to have serious competition for playing time.

Some kids really, really hate high school. I'd say about 10% of my caseload asks to graduate early for that reason alone.

If I had to guess right now, he will be a two year player. Maybe three, depends on how well his shot develops

Omg....if we get a Junior Morez with a Sr. Hansberry..

last year the McDAA was announced January 24. Let's hope we get some great news in a few weeks
I know we've had a very long drought of no Burger Boy AAs, but as political as its clearly become over the last 10+ years I really could not care less if Johnson is ultimately dissed of the award. He's a stud, whether he wins a spot or not.

The McD AA award just doesn't mean quite what it used to mean. It's always dominated by the Blue Bloods, leaving TONS of HS talents void of receiving the distinction when they clearly deserved it over so many others. Quite frankly it's become comical to see who wins a spot and who doesn't.

I'm sure it would be a great honor and achievement for Morez personally, but for the UofI it really doesn't matter much at all. And I bet Underwood really doesn't care either. He knows the kind of player he's getting and that's all that matters.

He's getting a dog.

A killer!!!

I mean...I'm not the one claiming he'll be here for 2 or 3......but if he really is a one and done....that more than likely means he's a lottery pick.

If he's a lottery pick after one year here....that one year is going to be something really special.
Rez needs at least 2 years to get his body in shape for the rigors of the NBA........he has the talent , but not the frame yet to handle the older players AND the number of games played.......

Ayo stayed 3 years and improved his game and his frame........Fletch will get Rez ready......He really really will...........
