Speaking of Big Ten post players and the portal, what are the chances Malik Reneau and Kel'el Ware enter the transfer portal? I remember reading that an Indiana exodus was coming. Or does Ware commit to the draft? He's currently projected as a fringe first rounder.

Recent articles (Reneau, Ware) suggest they're both weighing their options.

(Ware and Ty Rodgers played together on Team USA)
I’d rather have Mgbako 🫣

Black is a much better comp, but Hansberry's ceiling is considerably higher, IMO.

Early on, I thought nothing could keep him out of the lineup as the season went on. Some players have that "it" factor, and I thought his tenacity was exceptional. But if anything can stop a player in their tracks, it's a back injury. Hope he's on a path to full recovery.

In a weak year for big men in the NBA draft, Ware will take his selection as a mid to late first round draft pick and run from Bloomington, Coach Woodson and the Hoosiers. Why would anyone want to be at Indiana next year? With the recent de-commitment in early March of Liam McNeeley, a Five Star McDonald's All-American, Indiana has NO signed recruits in its 2024 class and not anything happening currently with NIL transfers. The cupboard is bare and shows little chance of being replenished with new talent. Woodson is on the hottest seat in the Big Ten. Good luck with that.

As far as why anyone would go there it's all about the $$$$, they have the most in the BIG to spend and they will try. I don't think that will matter one bit though, because to me, it's the coach and his inability to build a roster with all the pieces needed. You can bring in 5 of the best players in the nation, that doesn't mean they will play well together.......Kentucky has proven this for years. My guess is he brings in some big names to quiet the fans, but it will still be a poorly constructed team, and he will be gone after next year.

Wait, BIG $$$$$ and unlimited bad shots??? I know a guard at Louisville and another one at Georgetown who might be interested in wearing the Clown Pants.

The NBA has no interest in a midrange shot. They want to see he can make a wide open corner 3 and shoot free throws.

But the biggest thing is that with TSJ's departure you assume he'll be getting the toughest defensive assignment every night, against a variety of different player types.

Show excellence and versatility there, make great decisions with the basketball, continue being a chaos agent, and look non-catastrophic when shooting it and the NBA will start seeing echoes of Alex Caruso or Draymond Green.

I wouldn't say he's followed an NBA trajectory to this point, but we all see there's more that might be unlocked there. If he's Da'Monte Williams the next two years, great. If he breaks through beyond that, look out.

I agree with your NBA propects outlook, but I think the comparison of Ty to Damonte really isn't a good one. As is, Ty's contributions to offensive possessions is already about double that of Damonte in his best season, his assist rate is better, and his rebounding is off the charts better. In my opinion, Ty's progression is already greatly ahead of Damonte's. If Ty were to start hitting threes like upperclassman Damonte, Roger Powell might be a better comparable. As you said though, if Ty picks up anything else outside of that, sky is the limit. Will be really fun seeing him grow as an upperclassman.

If Ty can develop. a decent midrange shot, IMO NBA teams will be all over him. Young man just finds the ball when it comes to rebounding.
If he develops a midrange he will be the new Jordan Walsh. Probably best comp for him.

Need another big. Don’t know if this is the guy but Dain, Amani, and Johnson aren’t enough.
Would prefer a true rim protector to pair with them. I think Dain splitting time with another 20 min rim protector could be a nice combo. Someone like Amari Williams.

Morez and Hansberry are both 4s, so I think having a true center would be a good fit.

I'd rather he do a 360
I now realize that any Mizzou grads that might be lurking probably don't get the joke.

If he did a 360, he would end up right were he started.

Both guys can play the 4 and the 5. I’d love to get a rim protector too, but this is college ball. Unless you have a Kofi Cockburn or Edey type you go with quickness and skills. Hawkins is a PF but he played most of the minutes at the 5 this year.

I think we get 3-4 transfers who will play significant minutes right away and maybe one guy who is more of a long term development piece
Curious why a player would transfer to become a long term development piece with everything so fluid from year-to-yeat?
