Can you guys imagine after hooking MD up to our wagon and trotting him into Madison to put up 31 & 8 (and then beat them again in the B1G Champ game) ... that we now take their best player (and actually develop him). That wikipedia page for Kohl Center might need to stay as-is for a while.
Illinois is really wanting a plan in place so when Rez is a sophomore that they are being talked about like Purdue is this season. Not that they are not trying next season also but want the core of the team back and seasoned for a National Championship run.
Storr is definitely the type of athlete that can defend… The question is, will the Illini culture convince him to put in the effort to do it consistently.
What he would definitely bring to the table is a 7 seconds or less scorer. DGL is the only player currently on the roster who could give us that next year. He helps fill that need for sure.
